If you ever want to understand national politics, you can begin by remembering that every Democratic voter secretly believes two things: Everything I want is a “human right,” and everything conservatives do or say is a human rights abuse.
Democratic administrations have regularly criticized nations as “human rights abusers” and even accused Republican voters of fascism because they don’t support transgender surgeries for kids, or reverse racism posing as “DEI,” or almost every other part of their agenda.
Now, President Donald Trump is setting things right by saying it will begin tracking real human rights abuses—like childhood genital mutilations, illegal immigration, anti-white or anti-Christian discrimination, and jailing people for so-called “racist” Facebook comments—and the announcement is already putting children first and making liberal heads explode.
“In recent years, new destructive ideologies have given safe harbor to human rights violations. The Trump administration will not allow these human rights violations, such as the mutilation of children, laws that infringe on free speech, and racially discriminatory employment practices, to go unchecked,” said State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott. “Enough is enough.”
The U.S. government files a report on how each nation respects or violates human rights, detailing abuses by friend and foe alike. Administration officials say they have a legal obligation to file Country Reports on Human Rights Practices every year under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and the Trade Act of 1974.
From now on, those reports will cover real rights guaranteed by our Constitution, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion—not free immigration across open borders.
In fact, that’s now a human rights abuse.The Trump administration will now take note if any nation lets human trafficking cartels smuggle illegal aliens across its territory on their way to another country, as Mexico did for at least 10 million illegals during the Biden administration.
The president will also zing any country that violates freedom of speech by arresting or harassing people for expressing civil but politically incorrect views online, or whose DEI or affirmative action policies “‘provide preferential treatment’ to workers on the basis of race, sex, or caste.”
Freedom of religion is back, too. Anti-Christian bias or antisemitism are human rights violations in the new reports, overseen by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The reports will also note if a country has taxpayer-funded abortions.
But what has drawn more criticism from the Left than anything is the fact the reports count “treatments”—like unnecessary double-mastectomies and genital reconstructions—as a human rights abuse for children.
“These are the vulnerable patients, the vulnerable Americans that we need to protect. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do,” Admiral Brian Christine, the assistant secretary of health, told Newsmax host Greg Kelly. “And we are never going to back away from that.”
“These children who truly have gender dysphoria, they suffer,” Christine told Newsmax. “They deserve compassion. They deserve love. They deserve competent psychiatric and mental healthcare. What they do not need is mutilating surgery and castrating chemicals.”
Protecting kids doesn’t come new to President Trump.
In January, he signed Executive Order 14187, tiled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” and promoted other commonsense measures, like putting male rapists who identify as women back in male prisons.
“The State Department is calling out destructive ideologies formerly promoted by the Biden Administration that have been used to propagate human rights,” announced the State Department online on Tuesday. “President Trump will not allow the mutilation of children, attacks on free speech, and racially discriminatory practices, to go unchecked.”
But the announcement has already got liberals going insane with rage.

Some outlets complain that the new reports protect the ability to say anything you like online—even the right to post conservative views.
“The 2024 reports also included significantly more criticism of U.S. allies in Western Europe, including for perceived “free speech” issues related to the alleged censorship of right-wing groups or individuals,” whined The Washington Post.
The liberal lobbying group calling itself Human Rights Watch, which is funded by George Soros, complained that the new report “debases human rights diplomacy.”
The left-wing super PAC Occupy Democrats called the new report criteria “a jaw-dropping escalation of the Trump administration’s war on basic freedoms.”
“This isn’t foreign policy. This is fanaticism wrapped in a flag,” it claimed.

But nobody complained when Joe Biden inserted the opposite, liberal view into human rights reports.
Nobody accused the Democrats of “debasement” when the Biden-Harris administration invited transgender men to flash their breasts at the White House, appointed cross-dressing luggage thieves to sensitive Cabinet positions, or encouraged kids to get permanently life-altering surgeries.
And the fact that the reports criticize Western Europe actually proves the Trump administration is not injecting political bias into the reports, a senior official at the State Department told The Washington Post.
“If we were politicizing our reports, you’d see a softer touch in Western Europe,” in order to curry favor with EU leaders.
Three strikes and they’re out—just like the phony human rights criteria the Democrats have used as a smokescreen to accuse Republicans of being “human rights violators” for years.
The show is over. President Trump is folding up the tent and protecting our real, God-given rights. That’s something that deserves everyone’s thanksgiving.
