A leaked audio recording from President Joe Biden’s ex-chief of staff, Ron Klain, gave an insider look on the true opinions of the Biden regime.
Klain is heard slamming the administration’s ineffective messaging on being overly fixated on the “f***ing bridges” rather than worrying about the economic woes affecting American families.
In audio obtained by Politico from an April 4th event, Klain blasted Biden as tone deaf. He is heard saying that the president “is out there too much talking about bridges” while regular Americans are struggling with rising grocery bills.
The former White House chief questioned the wisdom of Biden constantly “cutting a ribbon on a bridge” and holding infrastructure events.
“He does two or three events a week where he’s cutting a ribbon on a bridge. And here’s a bridge. Like, I tell you, if you go into the grocery store, you go to the grocery store and, you know, eggs and milk are expensive, the fact that there’s a f*cking bridge is not [inaudible],” Klain said.
“He’s not a congressman. He’s not running for Congress,” he said. “I think it’s kind of a fool’s errand.”
When asked, Klain praised the administration’s policy achievements in a follow-up interview with Politico — but he stuck by his criticism that touting infrastructure accomplishments does little to address the economic reality that Americans are faced with under Biden.
It will hurt Democrats at the ballot box, Klain warned.
“The president’s most effective economic message is contrast around whose side are you on, and compassion for the [pinch] of family budgets, and his agenda to bring down costs and raise incomes,” Klain said.
The leaked audio highlights rising concerns within Democratic Party insider circles over Biden’s struggle with his message — and his unpopularity with voters that have been battered by inflation, high gas prices, and the the elevated costs for everyday necessities.
Poll numbers show Biden is trailing former President Donald Trump in their election rematch, and voters consistently give Trump much higher marks on his economic leadership.
As the 2024 race kicks into gear, even Biden’s closest allies know his unpopularity with the American voter will be nearly impossible to overcome.
