Fox News host Laura Ingraham condemned big technology companies earlier this month, and claimed they have made a major mistake in silencing conservatives.
Over the past year, social media platforms, like Facebook, have claimed they are a “platform for all ideas,” but Ingraham suggested that none of these liberal tech giants are platforms for conservative ideas.
Earlier this month, several social media platforms joined together to silence conservative radio star Alex Jones — and if these tech giants have the ability to ban one conservative star, they have the ability to control who has a voice on these viral platforms.
Jones had nearly 2.4 million followers on his YouTube channel, and although these liberal tech giants may not want to listen to his conspiracy theories… he does have millions of followers that want to listen, but now they have no outlet to find them on.
It all began when Apple pulled all of Jones’ podcasts from their store, and Facebook and YouTube followed suit.
As Ingraham points out, it is easy to say that these big tech companies silenced Jones because of his outrageous conspiracy theories.
“But this isn’t about Alex Jones — this is about freedom, and our access to information from the sources, we as individuals, trust and like,” Ingraham explained.
She added, “If big tech can control the information flow, then they can also perhaps evenĀ influence the outcome of the midterms and even future presidential elections.”
These companies having control over who has a voice and who does not, is a type of discrimination.
The way that these tech giants are operating today is taking away from them running as public platforms — and instead they have become a somewhat private platform that only allows their own kind.
Ingraham suggested that the motto of these tech giants is, “If you can’t beat them, prevent them from speaking.”
A leaked proposal going through Senate Democrats outlines deceptive plans to purge the Internet and take over digital platforms, explained Ingraham.
“If they can shut down political speech on the ground that it is hateful — where does this end?” Ingraham questioned, “Why do leftists always seem to escape big tech sensors?”
As noted by Ingraham, conservatives generally would like to see more political speech — we do not limit that type of banter, we only believe that posts that could inflict violence or bring harm to a child should be banned.
Maybe these moves by these liberal tech giants is to ensure that the Democratic party is able to win back power during the midterm elections — and in future presidential elections.
Conservatives must fight back — and regain their voices. November is only three months away, and we will not lose in these midterms.
