The latest chapter in the President Donald Trump administration fight with the mainstream media took place after White House aide Kellynne Conway blasted a Washington Examiner reporter.
It began when the Examiner reporter, Caitlin Yilek, wrote a story regarding Kellyanne’s liberal husband George Conway.

George Conway is known for his obsessive criticism of Trump, and the two have engaged in a war of words on Twitter.
So Yilek received a phone call after the piece was published — and on the other end was Kellyanne Conway’s representative, Tom Joannou.
Yilek and Joannou began talking, but it didn’t take long for Kellyanne to grab the phone herself to talk to the Examiner journalist herself.
“So I just am wondering why in God’s earth you would need to mention anything about George Conway’s tweets in an article that talks about me as possibly being chief of staff,” she said.
“Other than it looks to me like there’s no original reporting here, you just read Twitter and other people’s stuff, which I guess is why you don’t pick up the phone when people call from the White House because, if it’s not on Twitter or it’s not on cable TV, it’s not real,” Kellyanne said.
She didn’t let up there.

“Let me tell you something, from a powerful woman,” she said. “Don’t pull the crap where you’re trying to undercut another woman based on who she’s married to. He gets his power through me, if you haven’t noticed. Not the other way around.”
“Do you talk about other people’s spouses in your pieces?” Kellyanne asked, “‘Cause I’ve been looking around, I haven’t learned a single thing from any of your pieces, and I’m just wondering if you routinely talk about peoples spouses.”
She went on to mock Yilek by insisting that no one reads her stories.
Yilek says that Kellyanne never asked for the conversation to be off the record, so she published the audio.
The media’s coverage of Trump and his administration has become a story itself ever since he landed in office.

He and his staffers have complained that the media unfairly covers the entire administration. Indeed, studies have found that over 90-percent of Trump’s media coverage has been negative since he took office.
And now it seems that Kellyanne Conway, by grabbing the metaphorical microphone, is completely fed up and is hell bent on confronting the media herself.
