Television personality Keith Olbermann used to be known as a popular sports commentator on ESPN in the 1990s.
Today, Olbermann spends most of his free time on X (formally Twitter) unleashing unhinged rants usually targeting conservatives — usually with no recourse other than people rolling their collective eyes at his comments.
But Olbermann just unleashed a new social media meltdown — only this time, feds are getting involved.
According to multiple reports, Olbermann quickly deleted a social media post yesterday in which he appeared to threaten conservative CNN analyst Scott Jennings.
“You’re next motherf–ker,” read Olbermann’s deleted X post, which a screenshot shared by Townhall columnist Dustin Grage was captured.
“But keep mugging to the camera,” the former MSNBC and ESPN host added, in another deleted tweet, according to the screenshots Jennings retweeted from Grage while tagging FBI Director Kash Patel.

Olbermann latest rant appears to have been in response to a tweet from Jennings reacting to ABC reinstating late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, after he was pulled off the air for offensive comments related to conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
“Now we get the fascists off real tv. That’d mean your career is next, Jennings. Send a tape to Real America ‘s Voice,” Olbermann posted in that thread.
“But keep mugging to camera, amateur,” he added.
Olbermann’s deleted tweets come after fire after last week he posted his reaction to ABC affiliate Sinclair’s decision to air a remembrance for Kirk over Kimmel’s show, an announcement made before the Kimmel was suspended.
“Burn in hell, Sinclair,” Olbermann wrote on X.
“Alongside Charlie Kirk.”
Despite the deleted evidence (which was captured), this isn’t the first time Olbermann has unleashed vile comments via social media.
Last August, Olbermann went after then-Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance stemming from baseless attack that Vance engaged in sexual activity with a couch.
The false rumor began after an X user made up that Vance’s 2016 memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, included a passage about having sex with an “inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions.”
Olbermann took things to an unsavory level.
In response to Vance tweeting a joke about his campaign team looking like an “Entourage” remake, Olbermann decided to make two casting couch jokes.

Olbermann also demanded back in 2024 the St. Louis Cardinals have their stadium imploded because he thought the players supported Donald Trump.
Keith Olbermann accused St. Louis Cardinals players of being Nazis and demanded the stadium be blown up because he thought they were supporting Donald Trump.
In reality, his facts were completely wrong and he made a fool out of himself.
