Last month, a Twitter account called “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (parody)” was tweeting parodies of press releases by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
The account lit up Twitter. The real Ocasio-Cortez complained about it. Twitter owner Elon Musk replied to one of its tweets. Liberals freaked out.
Since then, the account has been deleted, but a new account is filling the void with a new subject matter — and a similar far-Left meltdown.
An account called “Vice President Kamala Harris Official (parody),” is tweeting imitations of the vice president.
“I can’t use the words to describe, in words, the words I can’t describe,” the account, using the handle @KamalaHarrisDem, tweeted Monday. “Mike Pence is running and running will be Mike Pence.”
“And then I told them, put the sandbags right there next to the podium,” the account continued, referring to President Joe Biden’s recent tumble over two sandbags.
As of Tuesday, @KamalaHarrisDem has amassed only about one sixth the following commanded by @AOCpress at its peak. It is still flying under Harris’ radar.
@KamalaHarrisDem tweets parodies of Harris’ actual words, not parodies of her tweets.
After all, Harris is less active on Twitter than Ocasio-Cortez. She maintains a staff to tweet on her office’s behalf.
Still, @KamalaHarrisDem has mocked specific remarks from Kamala Harris.
The account tweeted Sunday, “Guess what time it is? It’s time. And later it will be time for more time.”
It was referring to the vice president’s infamous remark on NBC News. In 2021, the real Harris said on television, “It is time for us to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day. Every day, it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing [the pandemic] down.”
Plus, the account has tweeted, “During pride history month we celebrate and we honor the folks who made history throughout history who saw what could be unburdened by what had been.”
Sure enough, the real Harris also like to use the phrase “what can be, unburdened by what has been.”

I started collecting clips where Kamala Harris says: "You have the ability to see what can be, unburdened by what has been."
She says it A LOT. I'm not sure how I'm going to present what looks to be about 40 clips, but it's an interesting research exercise.
Anyway, what do you… pic.twitter.com/1snonWrbqV
