Joe Biden fills his campaign speeches with examples of how he has undone the actions of “my predecessor,” President Donald Trump—but Trump has struck back at his 2024 rival on his most cherished issue.
Donald Trump is forcing Joe Biden to build the wall.
A Trump-appointed judge has ruled that the Biden administration cannot hold up funds appropriated by Congress to build the “big, beautiful wall” President Trump promised to construct on America’s southern border.
Congress allocated $1.4 billion to keep building a wall to prevent illegal “migrants” from surging across the border with Mexico before Biden ever took office.
But Biden campaigned on, and delivered, open borders—and welfare for illegal aliens.
“There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration,” Biden told National Public Radio three months before the disputed 2020 election. “I’m going to make sure that we have border protection, but it’s going to be based on making sure that we use high-tech capacity to deal with it. And at the ports of entry—that’s where all the bad stuff is happening.”
Biden barely took his itchy hand off the Bible before he walked into the Oval Office and signed an executive order telling U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to stop all construction of the wall.
He immediately pulled the emergency lever and brought the border wall construction to a screeching halt.
The Biden administration then tried, and failed, \to remove border security funding from bills in 2021.
“I tried to get them to reappropriate it, to redirect that money. They didn’t. They wouldn’t,” Biden rambled. “And in the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated. I can’t stop that.”
So, Biden did what he does best: Break the law.
He refused to turn over the money Congress had already spent under his “predecessor” to construct the wall—and that’s illegal, said U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, a Trump appointee.
A Trump-appointed judge ordered Joe Biden to build the wall.
“Biden acted completely improperly by refusing to spend the money that Congress appropriated for border wall construction, and even attempting to redirect those funds,” said Attorney General Paxton in his official statement.
Biden’s actions — including his decision to rescind President Trump’s successful Remain in Mexico policy, hold up construction of the wall, cut down razor wire, promise free healthcare to the world, reinstate catch-and-release, cut down razor wire, and weld the gates of the border wall wide open — “demonstrate his desperation for open borders at any cost, but Texas has prevailed.”

As a matter of fact, the last three Republican presidents had a hand, indirectly, in the Biden border smackdown.
The judge ruled one lawsuit that was a merger of two separate lawsuits filed in 2021 by Paxton—and former Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, the grandson of President George H.W. Bush, nephew of President George W. Bush, and eldest son of former Florida Governor and 2016 disaster Jeb Bush.
All three of the Bushes favored amnesty, but none as much as Joe Biden.
Biden hated the border wall so much, he paid workers $6 million a day not to build the Wall—to do nothing on your dime.
That led to three years of the worst illegal immigration in U.S. history and untold deaths.
Things got so bad, in September 2022, he secretly previewed his “Border Barrier Remediation Plan,” to patch up portions of the border wall.
When word got out, Biden publicly denounced the wall—but Biden and his fellow liberal elites erected an enormous wall and a huge “security” fence around the U.S. Capitol, as they did again when Biden delivered his angry, rapid-fire State of the Union address earlier this month.
The Biden administration coordinated that barrier across multiple law enforcement agencies in Washingon: the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) the Capitol Police, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department, “and dozens of other federal and city agencies,” according to Roll Call, which cited U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi as its source.
It’s not just one wall hypocritical liberals support; it’s an unfathomable number.
Biden and every major figure in the Democratic Party have no problem building protective walls around every last one of their multimillion-dollar mansions, vacation homes, and getaway spots.
Biden will have to turn the money over to construct the wall. In the meantime, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been doing the work with state funds.
Biden may yet appeal, and he lost this round—but much of the damage has already been done.
“It’s a shame that the money is still in limbo when the border states need all the help they can get to stop the invasion along the border. Nothing good is coming from the open southern border,” wrote Karen Townsend at RedState.com.
“Joe Biden doesn’t care,” Townsend continued.
“In the meantime, Governor Abbott will continue to do the job that Joe Biden refuses to do.”
