President Donald Trump trolled the mainstream media on Sunday when he shared a wild conspiracy theory post on Truth Social on Saturday night that claimed former President Joe Biden died in 2020 and was replaced with clones and robots.

Critics were “aghast” and left fuming when Trump shared a link to the post from his personal Truth Social account without adding his own comments. The original post came from a user named “llijh” who has fewer than 1,000 followers on the platform.

“There is no #JoeBiden – executed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. >#Democrats dont know the difference,” the original post stated.

President Trump shares a post on Truth Social.

The post was responding to ongoing discussions about Biden’s declining mental health while in office on the social media platform. Trump has a history of sharing various posts on his social media accounts, and it remains unclear why he chose to share this particular conspiracy theory.

Trump also shared several other links to Truth Social posts on Saturday night without offering commentary. Most of the other shared posts focused on Trump’s efforts to return steel manufacturing to the United States.

There has been increased scrutiny of Biden’s health following his recent aggressive cancer diagnosis. Biden announced last month that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. This type of cancer typically takes years to develop, and critics say the White House must have known and covered up the the diagnosis — likely for years.

Despite trolling the media over Biden’s health, Trump also posted a separate message expressing sympathy for Biden’s health situation.

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” Trump wrote. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Trump and Biden have met in person multiple times, including roughly five months ago during Trump’s Inauguration Day. The two men also shared debate stages during both the 2020 and 2024 presidential campaigns.

Congressional Republicans have been investigating questions about Biden’s health during his time as president. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has summoned five of Biden’s confidants to answer questions about the former president’s health while he served as commander in chief.

Trump has previously said that Biden was not fully in control of his administration, pointing to the White House’s increasingly common use of an autopen device to sign important documents.

“I think the autopen is going to become one of the great scandals of all time,” Trump said Friday during an Oval Office event with tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.

“He’s been a sort of a moderate person over his life, and a smart person, but somewhat vicious person, I will say, if you feel sorry for him, don’t feel so sorry because he’s vicious,” Trump stated.

Biden has remained optimistic about his cancer treatment and prognosis.

“We’re going to be able to beat this. We’re working on everything, it’s moving along. I feel good. All the folks are optimistic,” he told reporters Sunday night.

Biden is currently facing scrutiny by the mainstream media over his mental acuity following the release of a book titled “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.”
