President Joe Biden’s cratering approval polls have pushed the odds back to familiar territory: the 45th president.
According to US-Bookies, casinos now favor former President Donald Trump as the betting favorite to win the 2024 presidential election.
The news comes just a day after Trump stole headlines with a stunning ultimatum to the Republican Party leadership: Either find a way to undo the results of the 2020 presidential election, or Republican voters will simply boycott the 2022 midterm and 2024 presidential elections.
“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24,” Trump’s statement said.
“It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”
In recent months, Trump has repeatedly teased his intention to run for the White House again in 2024.
He’s recently taken to the road in important swing states for his familiar “Make America Great Again” rallies in Iowa, Georgia, Florida, and more.
And he’s endorsed a huge swath of Trump loyalists in upcoming elections, specifically targeting Republican Party leader that he has deemed insufficiently loyal.
And at casinos around the country, betters have responded.
“In recent months, the 2024 election betting markets saw Kamala Harris and Joe Biden trading places as the favorite, but Trump’s recent surge puts him atop the list,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson. “At the same time, Biden failed to notice any changes to his odds, while Kamala’s have worsened.”
Trump’s odds on October 6 were 13/2 but jumped by Oct. 14 to 7/2 (22 percent). Vice President Kamala Harris has seen her odds fall from 7/2 to 11/2 over the same time, while Biden’s has remained unchanged at 4/1.
“The Biden administration has been facing negatively trending polls in recent months, which could lead to decreased confidence among oddsmakers,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson.
“At the same time, Trump’s odds have improved to the point that he’s now ahead of Biden and Harris for the first time since leaving office.”
