Under President Joe Biden, the military is involved in a totally different kind of flag operations — but veterans just flipped the 46th president’s world (and fading re-election hopes) upside down.
America’s combat veterans and their Republican allies have joined forces to pass legislation to respect the American flag and stop flying politically charged messages alongside it.
The House of Representatives passed an amendment to a must-pass defense spending bill requiring only authorized flags like the Stars and Stripes fly at the Pentagon — and not the rainbow flag of the LGBTQIA2S+ movement.

The rider to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) came from Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., and cleared the GOP-controlled chamber with the support of Republicans who say they’re tired of the president politicizing institutions meant to honor our troops.
The Biden administration has put the straight-laced armed forces through a hellish basic training of Woke indoctrination, proper pronouns, and drag shows since the moment Joe Biden took his hand off the Bible in January 2021.

Even at the White House, Biden recently displayed the new transgender-inclusive Pride flag flying in between two American flags, at the same height.
“Today, the People’s House – your house – sends a clear message to the country and to the world,” said President Biden—but critics said the display sent the message that the president doesn’t care about proper flag conduct and pushed politics down the throat of America’s fighting forces.
“This is a disgrace,” tweeted conservative Republican Senator Roger Marshall, R-Kan. “Not only is it in breach of US Flag Code, but it’s a glaring example of this White Houses’ incompetence and insistence on putting their social agenda ahead of patriotism.”

The display definitely skirted U.S. law. The U.S. Flag Code says, “The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States … pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.”
Biden’s defenders said, since there’s another U.S. flag on the top of the White House, he violated no law by lowering Old Glory and using it as a garnish to the Rainbow flag.
This is a disgrace.

But critics say Biden was still wrong to lower the U.S. flag to “equal stature on the flank of the alphabet cult battle flag,” said Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga.

U.S. veterans spoke out, too. “Every veteran that has fought for this country and sacrificed so much is disgusted by the symbolism of the pride flag overtaking our nation’s flag at the White House,” chimed in Victor Marx, a former Marine and founder of All Things Possible, a group that strives to aid those affected by trauma.
Another Marine, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller — who was booted from the forces for criticizing Biden’s pullout from Afghanistan — said the display made him “question the utility of my combat sacrifices.”
Biden has been choking the armed forces with the rainbow flag since he came out of retirement to run for president a third time.

Biden promised to force the politically charged flag on the Pentagon in 2020, when President Donald Trump said only the U.S. flag, territorial flags, military branch flags, and the POW/MIA flag can fly there.
“Banning the LGBTQ Pride flag — the very symbol of diversity and inclusion — is undeniably wrong. The Pentagon should ensure it is authorized, or as President, I will,” Biden tweeted in July 2020 during the heat of the campaign.
Banning the Confederate flag from military installations was long overdue.

The LGBT turned out for Biden in 2020, with between 61 percent and 81 percent of LGBT people voting for him—then Biden screwed them and kept the Pentagon Pride flag ban in place in 2021.
To make up for it, he flew Pride flag at veterans’ facilities like VA hospitals, prompting more than 30 Republican congressmen to ask the Biden administration to back off.

“Veterans who have served our country deserve to enter a facility that is free from discrimination and political posturing,” wrote the coaliton led by House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Mike Bost, R-Ill. “These men and women were apolitical when they served our country, and we should strive to provide them with an apolitical VA when they seek the care, benefits, and services that they have earned.”
Tit wasn’t the first time Democrats disrespected the U.S. flag; the same thing happened when a VA in Danvers, Massachusetts, hoisted the rainbow flag in place of the POW/MIA flag under Barack Obama during Pride Month in 2014.
Although Biden hasn’t gone so far as to fly the Pride flag at the Pentagon, Norman says he’s going to make it illegal to do that.
Democrats immediately accused him and his fellow Republicans of hate. Pro-flag Republicans are “attempting to erase and to censure the LGBTQ+ community in our armed forces,” said Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa.
Flying the Pride flag is “a symbol of strength,” she said…but the armed forces traditionally didn’t agree.
Gay men couldn’t serve in the military at all until President Bill Clinton, a draft dodger, took office and instituted the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which Clinton personally called a “dumbass” ideas.

Open homosexuals couldn’t serve until Barack Obama’s administration 15 years later.
Obama also lifted the 200-plus-year ban on transgender troops, which President Trump reinstated.
Now, Biden is putting the glitter on the Rainbow flag celebration… and new recruits have gone AWOL.
The Army is expected to recruit 10,000 soldiers less than it needs to make its standard goal—thousands less than it needs to meet U.S. security requirements—when the fiscal year ends in September. Army sources say at least that’s better than last year, when the Army fell 15,000 men short of its goal.
But how many years can the military lack tens of thousands of troops and still do the job the Constitution asks them to do: protect the American homeland?
Is it really worth jeopardizing U.S. security needs in order to push a left-wing ideology about pronoun usage?
After all, if soldiers with asthma are unable to serve because they couldn’t make it on the front lines for a month without albuterol inhalers.
