“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
Often in politics, one lie leads to another. Rarely do these lies get exposed, much less by one person in one moment. But that moment came this week.
To make matters sweeter, it came at the hands of the Biden administration’s handpicked special prosecutor, Robert Hur.
Worse yet, one of those lies didn’t add much to Biden’s defense.
Of course, Hur’s bombshell report said before he was president, Joe Bidn had “willfully retained classified information” by taking them home with him, leaving some in a poorly guarded garage, and even showing some to his ghostwriter, Mark Zwontizer.
Hur said didn’t bring charges because a jury would not convict someone who had Biden’s persona of a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
Part of that perception came from the fact that the 81-year-old president couldn’t remember the year his son, Beau, died.
Biden lashed out at Hur during what the AP called “a hastily arranged press conference” on February 8, claiming he was outraged that Hur asked him about his son’s death from brain cancer at age 46 on May 30, 2015.
“I know there’s some attention paid to some language in a report about my recollection of events; there’s even reference that I don’t remember when my son died. How in the Hell dare he raise that?!” screamed Biden.
“Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself whether it was any of their damn business.”

But the transcripts of Hur’s interview with Biden finally came out—and, like Adam Schiff’s version of Donald Trump’s perfect phone call, the reality tore a hole in the official Democratic Party’s line.
Biden was trying to run out the clock with Hur’s interview of October 8 by speaking on irrelevant issues—including a strange story about a man who lost his penis and pictures of his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, in a swimsuit. (The two stories were apparently not related.)
“Much of the conversation with Hur is littered with barely incoherent answers and spiraling word salads,” wrote conservative author David Harsanyi.
At one point, as Biden was discussing his decision not to run for president in 2016, Biden stopped and asked himself: “What month did Beau die?” Trying to come up with the answer, he said, “Oh, God, May 30th….?”
“2015,” replied two different staffers in the room.
“Was it 2015 he had died?” Biden asked.
Again, two staffers confirmed to the president of the United States that his son, Beau Biden, died in 2015.
It wasn’t even the only time he lost his bearings. A second later, he said, “Trump gets elected in November of 2017.”
Again, two aides tell Biden that the election was held in 2016.
Joe Biden’s self-righteous, self-inflicted lie had backfired.
Lying is Biden’s go-to device. He’s made up stories about being on a helicopter forced down by enemy fire in Afghanistan. He claimed Beau Biden died in Iraq. And he’s falsely stated that the truck driver who hit and killed his first wife “drank his lunch.” In fact, his first wife ran a stop sign in front of a truck.
When Hur testified before Congress on Tuesday, he got to slam the fact that Biden lied down the throats of one of the biggest liberals in the House.
“At any point in your investigation, did you have any reason to believe that President Biden lied to you?” asked Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y.
“I do address in my report on response the president gave to a question I posed to him that we deemed ‘Not credible,’” replied Hur.
In other words, that’s a great big yes.

One of those less-than-credible answers was put on the record by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla. On February 8, Joe Biden said, “I did not share classified information. I did not share it, I guarantee I did not,’” Rep. Gaetz pointed out. “That’s not true, is it?”
“That is inconsistent with the findings based onthe evidence in my report,” said Hur.

Democrats, knowing voters see the president’s age and the growing list of Biden family scandals as a major concern, focused on the fact that Hur didn’t press charges.
Multiple Democratic congressmen wrongly claimed that Hur had “exonerated” the president—a claim Hur personally rebutted twice.
“We did not exonerate him,” declared Hur.

One seemingly extraneous lie—a pure lie to demonize his prosecutor—blew up in his face… and then more lies came to light.
Justice rarely happens, but when it does, it’s worth celebrating.
