Car thieves foiled… because they can’t drive a stick!

Pittsburgh police are searching for two would-be carjackers who apparently can’t drive a stick-shift.

Police have been looking for the pair since Tuesday night, when one of them tapped on a 28-year-old driver’s side window with a gun.

The two ordered the man out of his car and demanded money. When the victim said he had none, they demanded his cellphone and car keys.

Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer says when the victim told the suspect the car had a manual transmission they decided they didn’t want it and ran away.

I have the right outfit for these fools. It is an old sweetheart 3T D7 Cat. It has a Johnson Bar. When you engage the Johnson Bar into forward position you enjoy all four gears for forward dozing; when engaged into reverse position you enjoy all four gears for backing or leveling. Piece of cake. I was born in 1947. D7 was built in USA in 1950. It still runs better than me and the VA takes really really really really good care of me all the time.

In 1998’in my book “auto theft let the truth be known!” I stated one of the best theft deterrents was a vehicle with manual transmission. Barnes and noble handled the book for a couple years before it went out of print.
I am a court qualified expert on auto theft and forensics. http://www.autotheftexpert.com
Currently I assist insured’s accused of fraud because the insurance company deemed the vehicle unstealable.
I have been extremely successful refuting the fraudulent forensics behind claim denial.
