Ilhan Omar’s lavish millionaire lifestyle uncovered

In 2024, most Americans were still trying to dig their way out of the financial hole dug by Joe Biden’s liberal economic policies—but not one of America’s most outspoken socialists.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., watched her wealth balloon from a few thousand dollars to tens of millions—a breathtaking 3,500 percent increase in just one year.

The Minnesota congresswoman’s most recent Financial Disclosure Report, covering the election year of 2024, shows the Somalian socialist has made out alright in capitalist America.

Omar earns only $174,000 a year in salary from the U.S. House of Representatives—but like many congressmen, her spouse has made a killing.

Her most recent husband, Tim Mynett, owns a winery based in Santa Rosa, California, called eStCru LLC—and that investment is aging like a fine wine. Financial documents Omar files for 2023 showed the winery’s value at just $15,000 to $50,000…but today, it’s worth somewhere in the range of $1 million to $5 million.

That’s a whopping 10,000 percent appreciation…and that’s not the Omar-Mynett family’s most valuable asset.

Mynett also manages Rose Lake Capital, a venture capital firm conveniently located right in Washington, D.C.

In 2023, Mynett’s firm had identical net assets with his winery: $15,000 to $50,000.

What a difference a year makes.

In 2024, Omar reported her husband’s office has net assets totaling between $5 million and $25 million…a 50,000 percent cash infusion.

What’s more, Rose Lake Capital’s website claims the business manages $60 billion in assets.

The report isn’t all positive: It also revealed that Omar has run up credit card debt somewhere between $15,001 and $50,000, and that she owed the same amount of student loans.

But all in all, Omar posted an incredible 3,500 percent increase in her net worth inside one year.

Mot only is Ilhan Omar “one of the loudest voices supporting radical Islamic terrorists on the Hill,” Matt Vespa of Townhall.com wrote, but “she’s now a limousine lefty, too.”

Omar, a member of the far-Left Squad, has said, “The ideals of socialism is one (sic) that is deep in my values”—adding that, “as Democrats, we all share serious socialism ideals.”

But privately, she lives it up like Bernie Sanders, the Vermont millionaire socialist senator who owns three homes but has admitted to paying his staffers a measly $13 an hour.

The fact that Omar embodies the left-wing urge to redistribute other people’s money while hoarding her own wealth is “not shocking,” wrote Vespa, but it’s still “pretty rich coming from a woman who routinely trashes America. She could never do this in Somalia.”

To make matters more humiliating, the disclosure came after Omar swore she was practically a pauper in Congress.

In February, Omar insulted someone claiming she was a multimillionaire as a “dummy” spouting “conspiracy theories” and spreading unfounded “stupidity to the world.”

“If you are going to lie on something that is public, maybe try checking my public financial statements and you will see I barely have thousands let alone millions,” Omar sneered.

It wasn’t her only lie about her exploding economic situation.

👋🏽 dummy, first of all I haven’t been in Congress for 8yrs and my net worth isn’t $83 million dollars. I know your brain has rotten from the conspiracy theories you are consuming daily but try not to announce your stupidity to the world.

It’s one thing to let out a lie in the tweet-of-the-moment…but Omar doubled down on her finances in public interviews.

“Since getting elected, there has been aa coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign claiming all sorts of wild things, including the ridiculous claim I am worth millions of dollars,” Omar told Business Insider. She insisted dismissed reports of her fabulous wealth as “categorically false.”

But then, Omar has had a huge number of financial scandals during her short time in Congress.

Mynett and Omar had an affair while married to other people—but he served as a consultant to her campaign. She paid her future husband—and therefore, herself—$2.9 million during the 2020 election cycles.

Mynett decided to leave the political consulting business, E Street Group LLC—at least on paper—and become a venture capitalist.

It seems like his private business thrived, just like Hunter Biden’s private business deals and career as a modern-art painter raked in millions of dollars as long as his father held office.

That’s just one of Omar’s neverending series of sex and financial scandals.

Omar has never cleared up damning and credible allegations that she married her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009, possibly as a way to skirt U.S. immigration law.

In 2014 and 2015, she filed joint tax forms with a “husband she didn’t legally marry until several years later.

In 2019, the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board slapped Omar with almost $4,000 in fines for five violations of election law—using campaign money to pay for her personal trips.

Ilhan Omar’s pattern of self-dealing has earned her criticism from Left, Right, and center—and called into question her integrity as a member of Congress.

“I’m not sure how things work in Somalia, but when you have an affair with a man, funnel $2.9 million in campaign donations to his company, and then marry him so you get access to that money, you don’t get to claim you only have a few thousand dollars to your name,” wrote RedState.com blogger Bonchie on X.

President Trump has called on Congress to pass legislation banning its members from trading stocks while in office—but Omar’s uniquely creative brand of corruption shows our leaders may need to pass even more laws to stop “our” elected officials from cashing on public office.
