Has Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, a powerful Democrat, had enough of his own party?
Based on his recent activity on Capitol Hill, many top Democrats and political strategists believe Fetterman could be plotting a move to join the Republican Party… or even MAGA.
As first reported by The New York Post, Fetterman was spotted dining with President Trump’s ex-top strategist Steve Bannon at a top “MAGA hangout” on Capitol Hill earlier this week.
Fetterman was seen at the Washington, DC, bistro Butterworth’s on Monday dining with Breitbart’s Matt Boyle and Bannon.
The move itself shouldn’t be surprising as Fetterman hasn’t been shy about interacting with top MAGA world figures, despite Democrat outrage.
In January, went to Mar-a-Lago to meet with then-President-elect Donald Trump, becoming a rare Democrat to do so.
Earlier this month, he attended a bipartisan forum with fellow Pennsylvania Sen. Dave McCormick, a Republican.
This week Fetterman has been particularly outspoken in defense of Israel and this week denounced the rioting over the illegal immigrant raids in Los Angeles.
“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos,” Fetterman posted on X Monday.
“My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.”

Longtime political pundit Chuck Todd admitted that Fetterman’s actions should serve as a warning to the party as many Democrats are beginning to become disenfranchised with the party’s base.
The elite/institutional Dem handwringing over Fetterman is only reinforcing the notion that the leadership of the Dem Party is truly out of touch. Basically, DC Dems are panicking about Fetterman because he won’t agree with them on everything? Why would Dems want to reinforce… https://t.co/7WHLL16AUa

Fetterman has made no official comment about switching parties or any affiliation with MAGA officials.
Monday’s dinner and outing in DC was also Fetterman’s 17th anniversary with wife Gisele, whom he married in 2008.
Gisele, who has kept a low profile over recent months, has an upcoming memoir, “Radical Tenderness: The Value of Vulnerability in an Often Unkind World,” in which she opens up about her marriage to Fetterman.
