If there’s one thing we know about Hunter Biden, it’s that his lifestyle costs big bucks. Now, it’s costing U.S. taxpayers a pretty penny, too.
The president obviously gets the highest level of security, and his family is entitled to round-the-clock Secret Service protection, too. And since Hunter Biden always goes first class, so do the agents protecting him—but they do so at your expense.
Hunter Biden rents a gorgeous, resort-style home at the mere cost of $20,000 a month—so the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him rent a nearby property for $30,000 a month. And their luxury is taxpayer-funded all the way.
Hunter Biden has set up house about a mile from the ocean—which you can see from his property—in the elite town of Malibu, California.
His four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has “an open floor plan, vaulted high ceilings, chef’s kitchen and French doors,” according to ABC News. “The mansion also features a ‘spacious park-like yard”’with a pool, a spa, a built-in barbecue bar, and alfresco dining, according to the listing.”
Wherever the president’s family goes, the Secret Service has to go, too—so the feds rented a Spanish-style property right next door in his ritzy neighborhood.
The Secret Service’s own, public-funded McMansion sits on 0.7 acres directly next to Hunter’s house. Their house has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, “a gym, a tasting room, a built-in barbecue, a pool, a spa, and a spiral staircase that leads up to a ‘castle-like tower to the master retreat with wet bar,’” ABC reports. “The luxury mansion boasts ‘resort style living at its finest’ and is ‘a perfect retreat for discerning clientele,’ its listing says.”
It has a lot of room…but then again, it’s housing multiple agents, unlike Hunter’s house.
The Secret Service is keeping mum about the property, claiming that if it commented on these extravagant digs, it would endanger the president’s self-destructive son. “Due to the need to maintain operational security, the U.S. Secret Service does not comment on the means, methods, or resources used to conduct our protective operations,” a Secret Service spokesperson told ABC News.
But retired Secret Service agents shrug and say that’s just the way things are: If the president’s family lives in the most elite areas, then the government has to pony up enough money to live in the same area…so the problem is with Hunter Biden’s champagne lifestyle, not with the agents who are just doing their jobs.
That’s still a huge expense that comes right out of your wallet, month after month, because the president’s kid has to have the best of everything.
Recent “First Son” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted in outrage, “Secret Service paying over $30K per month for Malibu mansion to protect Hunter Biden!”
The former Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee—Congressman Darrell Issa, R-Calif.—said, “Secret Service is reportedly paying $30,000 a month to rent a Malibu mansion to keep watch on Hunter Biden. Looks like the cost of protecting Hunter is being shared by Big Tech, the mainstream media … and now the taxpayers as well.”
“Anyone else find it interesting that the Secret Service is paying $30K a month to hide Hunter Biden in Malibu?” asked Turning Point USA member Adam Dommeyer.
Another Twitter user asked, “Why not an apartment in Compton where he can be close to crack dealers?”

Those writers may all be conservative, but the backlash against this big-spending way cuts across the political spectrum.
“A cost of $30,000 a month for the Secret Service to rent a home in Malibu next to Hunter is an unconscionable burden to taxpayers, all for the personal benefit of Hunter Biden,” said Craig Holman of Public Citizen, a left-of-center government accountability organization founded by Ralph Nader. “Hunter should realize this and accommodate his security detail in his own home.”
Fat chance of that.
Remember when he was vice president, Joe Biden actually charged Secret Service agents rent in order to protect him!
Joe Biden made the Secret Service pay him $2,200 a month to rent a cottage on his property in Greenville, Delaware—a rich suburb of Wilmington.
“He’s not a Chicago politician by birth, but Vice President Joe Biden is sure learning their ways well,” wrote Andrew Malcolm at the Los Angeles Times, after The Washington Times broke the scandal in August 2011. “The vice president’s already been paid $13,200 so far this year and the contract looks to pay him $66,000 into 2013.”
The Wilmington beach compound is just one of Biden’s multiple luxury homes—so the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree on that count.
Vice President Biden also used to make his Secret Service agents—including the women—watch him swim naked during his years under their guard.
Heaven knows what the agents you’re paying to watch Hunter Biden night-and-day have seen.
We just know you’re paying them to be there.
