Hillary Clinton announces Epstein primetime TV special

Yesterday former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finally agreed to testify under oath about their long relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Clintons will appear before the House Oversight Committee and testify for the investigation, reversing months of legal fights just hours before the House was set to vote on holding them in criminal contempt of Congress.

But Hillary is begging — in fact, demanding — things now go a step further.

She wants her and Bill’s testimony public and on primetime television.

Today Hillary called on House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., to allow her and her husband to have a public hearing on the Epstein files.

Clinton issued the challenge to Comer in a post on X, saying Republicans have ignored her and former President Bill Clinton’s previous testimony on the topic.

“For six months, we engaged Republicans on the Oversight Committee in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath. They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction,” Hillary wrote.

“So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, Rep. James Comer, let’s have it—in public,” she continued, tagging Comer in her social media rant.

“You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there.”

Hillary’s shocking challenge comes in the aftermath of Comer announcing on Wednesday that the former first lady will sit for a closed-door transcribed interview on Feb. 26, and the former president will appear on Feb. 27 under the same terms.

Both interviews will be filmed, according to Comer.

As previously reported by The Horn News, the committee issued subpoenas to the Clintons last August along with several former Justice Department officials, including former Attorneys General Merrick Garland, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, William Barr, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales.

The investigation is examining the Clintons long personal relationship Epstein and his sex trafficking partner Ghislaine Maxwell, who was a guest of honor at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

The Clintons had skipped depositions scheduled for mid-January, forcing Comer to threaten contempt charges.

“No witness — not a former President or a private citizen — may willfully defy a duly issued congressional subpoena without consequence,” he warned at the time.

The move also comes after Clinton’s lawyers requested that additional questions for Hillary Clinton be “addressed through a supplemental sworn declaration” rather than in-person testimony.

Comer rejected the proposal.

“The Clintons are in contempt of Congress. Their attorneys’ latest letter makes clear they still expect special treatment because of their last name. The Clintons do not get to dictate the terms of lawful subpoenas. I have rejected their latest offer,” Comer said.

Late last month, nine Democrats on the House Oversight Committee joined all Republicans in voting to advance Bill Clinton’s contempt of Congress resolution to a House-wide vote.

Three Democrats voted to advance the resolution against Hillary Clinton.

However, at the last minute, the Clintons’ attorneys sent an email confirming that they will both appear under oath.

“Please be advised, and please advise the Chairman, that my clients accept the terms of your letter and will appear for depositions on mutually agreeable dates. As has been the Committee’s practice, please confirm the House will not move forward with contempt proceedings, as the Chairman stated in his letter this morning.”

No further details were released regarding public testimony at the time of publication.
