Gov. Andrew Cuomo leaves seniors helpless against coronavirus

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been praised frequently by the mainstream media for putting the Empire State on lockdown.

Meanwhile, critics say he’s willingly putting senior citizens in harms way — and Cuomo said they’ll have to learn to accept their fate.

The death toll in New York State’s nursing homes is the highest in the country, in part due to Cuomo’s Mar. 25 order that required nursing homes to accept Wuhan virus patients.

Cuomo is under fire for being cavalier over the lives of seniors.

Critics say he couldn’t care less.

Cuomo said “older, vulnerable” people were going to die from the virus no matter what he does, so why bother.

“Older people, vulnerable people are going to die from this virus. That is going to happen despite whatever you do”https://t.co/h3mGsWB1rd

Cuomo forced infected patients into areas with vulnerable and immune-compromised seniors… because they were going to die anyway.

But he didn’t stop there.

He tried to absolve himself of any wrongdoing, saying that no one should be held responsible for the deaths.

According to U.S. News, of the near 26,000 virus deaths nationwide, around 5,300 fatalities are in New York.

But of course, the mainstream media ignored the scandal and politically correct mistake that is costing thousands of American lives.

“We’ve tried everything to keep it out of a nursing home, but it’s virtually impossible,” Cuomo falsely claimed.

And his statement drew the ire of many on social media, including a couple of Fox News veterans.

Tammy Bruce slammed the governor for the attempt to absolve himself of guilt.

Cuomo decided “they were gonna die anyway” absolves him of responsibility for 1000s of nursing home deaths after he seeded the facilities w COVID patients. Doesn’t get any more pathologically obscene than this. https://t.co/Cr6yz4VQ9V

And Charles Payne pointed out the free pass given to Cuomo by the media. If he were a Republican, Payne said, the reaction would have been entirely different.

My goodness if Trump said this…the problem is the mainstram media prematurely declare Cuomo the voice of reason but that narrative has collapsed over his nursing home debacle. https://t.co/fw81NbE5yl
