Fox News star Peter Doocy just had an unexpected meltdown when joined by a co-star during his live White House report Friday morning — a pigeon that landed directly on his head, which sent the reporter into a momentary panic.
Doocy was in the middle of discussing serious matters – China’s announcement of 125% tariffs on American imports and President Trump’s water dispute with Mexico – when the fowl intruder decided to make its television debut.
“A bird just landed on my head!” Doocy screamed, ducking out of frame and flailing his arms to shoo away the uninvited guest as “Fox and Friends” hosts Brian Kilmeade, Lawrence Jones, and Ainsley Earnhardt erupted in laughter back in the New York studio.
When Doocy reappeared on camera, visibly shaken but smiling, he exclaimed, “I did not like that at all!”
“What is going on?” Kilmeade asked through laughter. “The back of your head, your hair is standing up now.”
“That is probably so dirty!” Doocy responded, still looking for the attacker.

The White House correspondent then appealed directly to the president: “President Trump, if you are watching upstairs, we got to do something about these birds. Where is the park service? They are always out here in the street and blowing except when the birds are landing on my head!”
The incident quickly made the rounds on social media, with Fox Business anchor David Asman posting, “Good morning, Peter! A bird landed on Doocy’s head at the White House. Is this a good sign or sabotage from our competitors?”
One anchor even joked, “Hope it didn’t have the flu” – a reference to the bird flu – prompting Doocy to shoot back, “Can we get the shampoo guy down here?”
About two hours after the recent viral moment, Doocy appeared on “America’s Newsroom” with Dana Perino and Martha MacCallum, where he joked that the Department of the Interior had already responded to the incident.
“A couple of minutes ago, I got a text about that from the Interior Secretary’s team and they say that they’ve deployed all assets from the park service and fish and wildlife to figure out what’s going on,” Doocy told the hosts. “So, we will be standing by here at the scene of the crime for that.”
Doocy, the son of “Fox and Friends” host Steve Doocy, has become one of Fox News’ leading correspondents in Washington in recent years. He gained prominence during the Biden administration with his persistent questioning of White House officials and the former president.
