Fox News star drops Nancy Guthrie bombshell; suspect identified?

Fox News star Greg Gutfeld said Monday that the entire Guthrie family — including “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie — should take polygraph tests as the bewildering kidnapping case of Nancy Guthrie enters its tenth day.

“Have they given everyone polygraphs? I don’t believe they have. I think Savannah Guthrie might wanna volunteer to do a poly and say, ‘I just don’t want people to speculate that I might be involved,'” Gutfeld said during Monday’s show.

The Fox News star said nothing about the case “makes sense” and questioned if ransom notes demanding bitcoin for the 84-year-old’s safe return were real.

“I do think the ransom piece is a ruse because the start and the finish of it don’t make any sense. If you really wanna get the money, you don’t go to TMZ. You don’t go to Harvey Levin. You go to the wealthy family who does it behind the scenes, and you [the public] may never hear about it,” Gutfeld said.

“Also the ending, where do you pay, how do you pay, once you make this whole process voluntary, doesn’t make sense. So I think all this is a red herring,” he added.

Gutfeld said if Savannah voluntarily took a lie detector test, it would quickly rule out her family’s involvement.

“It puts everyone else in her circle obligated to do a poly. They might have declined to do it before, but if you actually say, ‘I’m willing to do it,’ and everybody else decides to do it, great,” Gutfeld said.

“So if you decline after the daughter publicly says she’s gonna do one, that looks different to me,” he added.

The FBI on Tuesday released surveillance photos and videos showing a masked person tampering with Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera the morning she disappeared.

FBI Director Kash Patel posted four black-and-white photos and three video clips on X showing a person wearing gloves, a mask, khakis, sneakers and a backpack appearing to tamper with the camera at Guthrie’s front door.

“Working with our partners, as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” Patel said.

“The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems,” he added.

Savannah Guthrie re-shared the photos on her Instagram page. “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” she wrote.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump’s initial reaction to the photos “is just pure disgust.”

“The president encourages any American across the country with any knowledge of the suspect to please call the FBI, who continue to assist state and local authorities who are leading this investigation on the ground,” Leavitt said.

“The prayers of this entire White House are with Savannah and her family at this time,” she added. The White House reposted the FBI photos on social media.

Nancy was reported missing after she didn’t show up to a friend’s house to watch a streamed church service on Feb. 1. She was last seen by her son-in-law, who dropped her off after dinner the night before.

DNA tests showed blood on Guthrie’s front porch matched her DNA. Her doorbell camera was disconnected in the early hours of Sunday morning, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said.

Nanos said Guthrie does not have cognitive issues, saying she was “sharp as a tack.” However, she has limited mobility and needs to take medication daily or “it could be fatal.”

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery or a conviction in the case. Anyone with information should call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
