The Clinton Foundation has been accused of being a pay-to-play scheme for years — a “charity” that does practically nothing for the people it’s supposed to help. Critics say it’s a personal piggy bank for America’s most corrupt political family and its friends.
Now, it looks like certain FBI and Department of Justice officials are working hard to make sure we never know the secrets they’ve discovered about the Clintons… unless they lose this lawsuit.

Government watchdog Judicial Watch recently filed a federal lawsuit against the Justice Department. The reason why is deeply disturbing.
The department reportedly REFUSED to respond to a previous Freedom of Information Act request about an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and whether top Obama administration officials ordered it shut down.
Judicial Watch filed a request in May for any communications related to the closure or possible closure of an investigation into the foundation.
And this wasn’t just some fishing expedition.
The FBI reportedly began an investigation into the Clinton Foundation in January 2016 after emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton showed evidence of a troubling relationship between the foundation and the State Department.

There seemed to be smoking-gun evidence of a “pay to play” atmosphere and donors and staff receiving preferential treatment. Indeed, since losing the election, donations to this Clinton “charity” have plummeted.
The Clinton Foundation’s annual revenue has dropped from $62,912,331 in 2016 to $26,566,825 in 2017 — a 52% drop in just one year. And when Clinton was secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation was bringing in hundreds of millions in donations annually. Billionaires and influence makers couldn’t open their pocketbooks fast enough, it seemed.
Of course, during the 2016 election a federal investigation by the Obama administration would have spelled big trouble for Hillary Clinton’s doomed presidential campaign.
Earlier this year, a Justice Department Inspector General report detailed evidence that the department interfered in the probe and sought to shut it down.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe reportedly received a phone call from a top department official expressing concerns about the investigation being conducted during a presidential election year.
McCabe reportedly said that he’d never had a similar confrontation during his entire career.
And, according to Judicial Watch, Justice Department officials subsequently refused FBI requests to issue subpoenas related to the Clinton Foundation investigation in 2016.
Now, it looks like FBI and Justice Department officials are trying to bury what they learned about the Clintons, and why the investigation sputtered.

“The record shows the Obama Justice Department suppressed a public corruption investigation into the Clinton Foundation,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a press release. “It’s time for the DOJ to stop shielding the Clintons and produce records on this miscarriage of justice.”
