A popular ESPN host was arrested in Jackson early Wednesday morning after he drunkenly wandered into a stranger’s condo and stripped off his clothes, police said.

Ryen Russillo, 42, host of “The Ryen Russillo Show” on ESPN Radio, was charged with criminal trespass.

Officers were called around 3:30 a.m. to a condominium on Snow King Loop for reports of a drunk man refusing to leave.

Someone who was asleep in the condo heard a person come in but assumed it was someone he knew, police were told.

“A few moments later Russillo walked into the bedroom with his pants half down,” an officer wrote in a probable cause affidavit. “He was obviously intoxicated and the only thing he said was that he was getting his stuff.”

Police arrived and the condo resident pointed officers to a bedroom.

“Officers found the defendant, later identified as Ryen August Russillo, lying on the bed in the south bedroom naked except for his pants around his ankles,” the affidavit states.

Russillo, of West Hartford, Connecticut, was said to have had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

“He did not seem to know where he was and stated he was staying at the location,” the affidavit states, “but when asked again stated he was not staying at the location.”

Russillo agreed to leave when asked, police said, but didn’t.

“He was too intoxicated to follow through with the request,” Jackson police Lt. Roger Schultz said.

Russillo was charged with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. The maximum fine is $750.

Russillo’s blood alcohol content was not available at press time.

It seems Russillo was vacationing in Jackson.

“I might start telling people I’m going to Jackson Hole FOR the eclipse,” Russillo tweeted on Aug. 16. “Makes me seem more into it instead of really poor planning.”

Russillo will be released on his own recognizance, according to Teton County Jail staff. No court date has been set.
