Police in Paris say they’ve busted a ring of armed gangsters after they tied up and robbed millions in jewels from a celebrity in October — and it’s made up entirely of granddads!
French police arrested 16 people Monday in connection with the October theft of more than $10 million worth of jewelry from Kim Kardashian West, and just about all of the suspects are between 50 to 72 years of age with long rap sheets.
“One of the suspected ‘Mr Bigs’ allegedly involved in the robbery has been partially identified as Pierre B., a ‘career villain’ living in Grasse, in the south of France. The 72-year-old is part of a diverse network of alleged criminals spanning different communities across France and Belgium,” The Daily Mail reported Monday. “As well as Pierre B. – who made millions through counterfeit money – they include three women, and two diamond dealers.”
Paris police officials said the arrests took place starting around 6 a.m. in different locations in the Paris region.
On Oct. 3, robbers forced their way into the private Paris residence where Kardashian West was staying, tied her up, locked her in a bathroom and held her at gunpoint before making off with her jewelry. The reality TV star was in Paris attending fashion week shows.
Media reports said police tracked down the suspects through DNA evidence found at the residence. An official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t allowed to speak publicly about the investigation said many of the elderly suspects were already well known for robbery and other crimes.
Earlier this month, the starlet broke her silence on the robbery in a new teaser for the family’s reality show, telling two of her sisters her thoughts at the time: “They’re going to shoot me in the back. There’s no way out.”
Police said the thieves stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth $6.7 million as well as a ring worth $4.5 million.
At the time, a spokeswoman for Kardashian West said she was badly shaken but physically unharmed. The robbery raised new concerns about security in the French capital after a string of deadly extremist attacks.

These seniors should get to live out their “golden” years in a work prison. The best way to discourage crime is to punish the criminals. Making these criminals face a 12-hour work detail every day for the remainder of their life would send a message to others who are tempted to turn to a life of crime.

There was already one made years ago and a reboot of the same movie.called going in style. The original starred George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg. Updated version stars Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin. It looks very funny. Three elderly men lose their pension ala Enron or MCI. They witness a robbery at their bank and decide to rob it.
I’m really surprised that they found any criminals at all. Believe me it was a staged thing for publicity. Have they recovered any of the jewels? These type of people can’t wait to get in the news. That family has always wanted the world to see them as beautiful and famous. She married the black guy just to shock everyone, and he married her because she was white. Don’t these people ever think of the children that are born to them. The white world won’t accept them, neither will the black. They may think it is the right thing to do now, but things come in cycles, in 5-10 years it may be unacceptable to be married to a black person, or a black marrying a white. There are plenty of beautiful black women out there, why do the black men want to marry a white woman? The criminals will give up the jewels. It is so laughable. The whole thing is beyond me. Why is this farce in the news? There is more to read about than these type of people. Disgusting.
the kardashians are a big part of helping screw up America. With their sniveling about anything, and bareing their rotton secrets and wasteful life styles. Showing off naked parts of their bodies like theirs, is so wonderful and sought after. They are NOT what made America great but should be part of what America dumps during the process. As a man, I realize this, and wonder how they are able to get into a woman’s mind to make them watch their shenanigans. We, the taxpayers have to pay to try to correct our daughters not to follow their trails so they me be wonderful mothers for our generations to come.
Sadly, flashing that kind of bling, in public, is an open invitation for a robbery.

I like the first comment. Who cares. I would not care if that family and Mr. West disappeared forever. I would be happier to not see their names and hear their arrogant voices. Part of the reason people like this are so rich is that too many of us pay attention to them. I am well on my way to spending more time socializing with friends and on hobbies than wasting time on the entertainment industry. Too many selfish jerks there. We need to slow down on what we spend on their crap.
