Dems want to investigate Trump over… WHAT!?

Democrats have hit a new low in their war against President Donald Trump.

After spying on his 2016 presidential campaign, falsely tarring him as a Russian agent, impeaching him twice, and trying to imprison or assassinate him, then trying to impeach him again in his new presidency, the Left wants a brand new investigation into the president… and you’ll never imagine over what.

The most liberal Democrats want to get to the bottom of whether the president of the United States ordered CBS to cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

You might think CBS changed the channel on Colbert as a way to cut its losses after he spent 10 years producing an unfunny show that lost $40 million to $50 million a year, only to come in behind Fox News.

In fact, CBS said as much in its official announcement: The cancellation came as “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night. It is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content, or other matters happening at Paramount.”

You might even think Colbert, who never let entertaining viewers stand in the way of giving his audience a political lecture, brought it on himself.

But Democrats are too smart for all that. They know President Trump is really behind it all, pulling the strings from on high as the first step in his “bone-chilling” censorship campaign—and they say they’re not taking it lying down.

Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Adam Schiff, and Bernie Sanders have all implied Trump used economic blackmail to force Colbert off the air.

The Democrats have tried to invest Colbert-gate.

“CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery,” wrote Warren,, a Massachusetts Democrat, on X, connecting imaginary dots.

“America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons,” she said.

“If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better,” opined the California senator, whom Rush Limbaugh used to call “Pencil Neck Schiff.”

Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., also saw dark designs in Colbert’s cancellation, which will take effect next May. “CBS’s billionaire owners pay Trump $16 million to settle a bogus lawsuit while trying to sell the network to Skydance. Stephen Colbert, an extraordinary talent and the most popular late night host, slams the deal. Days later, he’s fired,” wrote “Crazy” Bernie. “Do I think this is a coincidence? NO.”

There’s just one problem with that: Colbert isn’t the most popular late night host: Greg Gutfeld beat him by 1.1 million viewers in the most recent Nielsen ratings.

Not to be outdone, Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said replacing one of network TV’s three liberal late-night hosts is a “bone-chilling” development that proves “we are on the precipice of entering a censorship state in which Donald Trump is using the powers of the federal government in order to erase criticism from the airwaves.”

Maybe part of the reason these senators are so upset is that Colbert may have been the only person in America who really wanted to hear from them—and gave them a platform beaming them into the homes of millions of liberals, hospital rooms, and homes of people who fell asleep watching something more interesting.

Sanders appeared on the Colbert show 21 times—six appearances more than Tom Hanks.

Warren made the show 16 times.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper made 20 appearances, Jake Tapper shared the couch 12 times and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow got the late night star treatment eight times.

“These are profoundly unfunny people,” said Fox News TV analyst Joe Concha. “Every night looks like the DNC convention.”

Johnny Carson ended his show with a star-studded week of Hollywood’s top guests. David Letterman began and ended his series by interviewing comic legend Bill Murray. Even after learning he’s being canceled, Colbert not just featured Democrats but the most boring Democrats.

“Nothing better exemplifies why Stephen Colbert’s Late Show suddenly got canceled than the fact that Colbert’s prime guest on the night of the cancellation’s announcement was … Adam Schiff,” wrote John Notle at Breitbart. “Yes, the dull, charisma-free Democrat U.S. Senator from California who spent more time on TV spreading deliberate misinformation about the Russia Collusion Hoax than anyone not named Jake Tapper.”

Colbert, who is described as a good Catholic almost as often as Joe Biden was, isn’t taking it well: He called himself a “martyr” for his views and compared CBS not renewing his multimillion-dollar contract to Jesus being crucified on Mount Calvary. “There’s only room for one on this cross. And the view is fantastic from up here,” he said.

Launching a government investigation of the president of the United States over the firing of a low-rated talk show host is so outrageously idiotic that anyone hearing about it might write the whole thing of as a joke. But then, as Stephen Colbert proves, liberals have no sense of humor.
