Elizabeth Warren has spent the Democratic primaries proving that she will go as far left as she must to get elected—but critics call her latest policy anti-woman, dangerous, and possibly deadly.
She has already supported open borders, a socialist wealth tax, and having the federal government become your child’s babysitter, but she may have gone too far with her newest, shocking announcement.
Warren says she wants to let men live in women’s prisons — an invitation to rape inmate, critics have objected.
As a matter of fact, the senator said that Americans have a “responsibility” to put transgender men who identify as women into female prisons, and that transgender people are “entitled” to have sex-change operations at taxpayers’ expense.
Even though experts say mixing men and women behind bars is certain to get women abused, raped, or murdered, Warren says she’s doing it to make people safer!
The senator told a campaign rally in Marshalltown, Iowa, that she thinks there are many “things we have to think about as a nation”—and the comfort of transgender criminals is at the top of her list!
“We have to stop putting trans women who are incarcerated into prisons with men where they are at risk. It is our responsibility,” she said last Sunday.
The crowd probably scratched their heads why Warren even brought this up. Iowa voters say their top issues are healthcare, foreign policy, and poverty—transgenderism doesn’t even make the top 10.
And the issue only affects a small fraction of the nation’s tiny transgender population. At most, 0.6% of Americans are transgender. A whopping 473 people out of the nation’s 184,000 inmate population identify as members of the opposite sex.
But transgender prisoners were more than twice as likely to be sex offenders than the general prison population (which is still pretty high).
Almost half of all transgender inmates are sex offenders, according to the British Ministry of Justice and a women’s rights group called Fair Play for Women. Still, they’re the ones Warren thinks Americans should cater to.
The ultra-liberal Massachusetts senator even had the nerve to say that President Donald Trump is the one who’s putting people in danger but not letting men share cellblocks with women.
In her campaign’s official “Plan For LGBTQ+ Rights And Equality,” released last fall, Warren wrote: “I will direct the Bureau of Prisons to end the Trump Administration’s dangerous policy of imprisoning transgender people in facilities based on their sex assigned at birth.”
“It appears Elizabeth Warren’s campaign slogan is now ‘Make Women’s Prisons Co-Ed,’” wrote Chrissy Clarke in The Federalist.
But Warren’s views aren’t just bad politics; they could be hazardous to women’s health.
President Trump reversed Barack Obama’s practice of letting prisons house transgender inmates in prisons meant for the opposite sex…and where it’s been tried, it’s led to major problems.
Four Christian women in a Texas prison sued the Obama administration in court. They said forcing them to live with men “incessantly violates the privacy of female inmates; endangers the physical and mental health of the female Plaintiffs and others, including prison staff; [and] increases the potential for rape.”
Women in other countries where “transgender” men have been sent to female correctional facilities wish it only increased “the potential” for rape.
“Prison governors and doctors say some sex criminals transition to get access to women,” the Londn Times reported.
Take the case of a convicted rapist who said he was transgender and changed his name to Karen White. After he got sent to a women’s prison, he sexually assaulted four women in three months before being caught.
Ironically, Warren told Iowa voters she wants to put hardened criminal males into women’s prisons, because “we have to protect all of our people, and it works all the way through the system.”
Conservative critics have pulled no punches in saying Warren’s policy will hurt real women.
“What Elizabeth Warren is suggesting is dangerous stupidity,” wrote Megan Fox at PJ Media.
No one deserves to be raped, in or out of prison. Elizabeth Warren’s transgender prison rule is her own, private war on women.
