Put down the Little Bites. The maker of the snacks is recalling some varieties of its fudge brownies and chocolate chip muffins because they may contain pieces of plastic.
The announcement was made late Wednesday by Bimbo Bakeries, which owns the Entenmann’s brand. It said the problem stems from a manufacturing failure at a contract bakery in Illinois.
The affected products were distributed to stores in the last two weeks. One injury was reported.
The products include Little Bites Fudge Brownies 5-packs with a “best by” date of Oct. 8 and UPC code of 7203001342, Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins 5-packs with a “best by” date of Oct. 8 and UPC code 7203001353 and Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins 10-packs with a “best by” date of Oct. 8 and UPC code 7203002111.

Never buy Bimbo Products. Two years ago my husband bit down on a slice of bread and got a metal shard from a ball bearing. I called the company, sent the foreign object to them for “inspection” and waited. They finally sent me a letter, said they were sorry, and gave me 2 coupons for a free loaf of bread. I called to follow up and the useless man on the other end of the phone said it was from their machine and thank you for bringing it to our attention. And he hung up on me.
I should have sued them. Oh, well, their greed will hang them.
