The minute that President Donald Trump came down the elevator at Trump Tower to announce he was running for president, CNN declared war on him. America, though, did not respond.
The network’s anchors called him an egomaniac, a liar, a carnival barker – and said his followers are ignorant, racist deplorables.
CNN bet everything that Americans really wanted to hear its anchors drone on hours at a time about “Russian collusion,” a porn star’s lawsuits, or any anti-Trump story its team could gin up.
It even devoted hours to how much Diet Coke Trump drinks in a day, how many scoops of ice cream he gets for dessert, and how he holds his water glasses.
The network used every weapon it had to win the propaganda battle against Trump and his supporters.
The results just came in, and CNN lost. Big time.
Of the top 25 news programs on TV last month, CNN only had one – “Anderson Cooper 360” – and it came in next-to-last!
The network’s top program had a piddling 1.07 million viewers in February. To put that in perspective, three-times as many people watched their competitor, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
CNN’s Hate-Trump programming is failing every hour of the broadcast day. Erin Burnett’s show, “Outfront,” had slid right off the ratings grid during the last few months.
“CNN has become totally irrelevant,”tweeted a very happy first son Eric Trump —
Congratulations @FoxNews: Fox has 15 of the top 20 shows with @SeanHannity and @TuckerCarlson leading the pack at 1st and 2nd respectively. CNN has become totally irrelevant, down 19% from last year with only 1 show in the Top 25 (#24th). pic.twitter.com/5IcwYEbFRR

It’s so bad that one-in-five of the people who watched CNN in January tuned out in February.
That sound CNN keeps hearing isn’t clicks on its website… it’s people clicking to another station.
It’s not hard to figure out why: Liberal bias and snooty contempt for Red State America has taken the old network right off the rails.
In the last month alone, CNN has:
- Hosted a townhall about the Parkland school shooting that was so hateful that NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch had to have armed guards help her get out of the building safely.
- Given students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School scripted questions to ambush conservatives at that townhall.
- Said, “The NRA is like the KKK.” and
- Praised Kim Jong-Un’s sister for “stealing the show” at the Winter Olympics
Americans have had enough from the D.C. elites, and they’re voting with their remote controls.
That’s not just bad for the anti-Trump network’s ego: it’s going to make a huge dent in its bank account.
Advertisers only buy commercials on networks with high viewership – and Fox News is cleaning CNN’s clock, 24/7.
Not only does FNC have 15 of the top 25 cable news shows on TV, but it’s far more popular with younger viewers than CNN or MSNBC.
Sean Hannity came in first with the most important demographic for advertising revenue – young viewers between ages 25 to 54 years old. Hannity has more than double the number of Cooper’s young viewers.
But you’d never know young people are conservative if you watched CNN and MSNBC.
Fox, the only network that gives Trump a fair hearing, dominated every single hour of the day.
“Fox & Friends (6 – 9 a.m.) marked 196 straight months as the most-watched morning show on cable news,” according to Adweek, the authority on TV advertising industry.
Even Fox News’ off-peak shows – like “Outnumbered” and “Fox News at Night” – have half-a-million more viewers than “Anderson Cooper,” the staple of CNN’s prime time lineup.
More people have Fox News running in the background than watch CNN on purpose the network only has themselves to blame.
