It’s a day that has long been promised to her conservative opponents.
And, like a boulder being dropped into a lake, Tuesday’s move by a federal judge has started a legal ripple-effect in the U.S. justice system that may end with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finally being subpoenaed.
It couldn’t come at a worse time for the Clinton 2016 presidential campaign.
In his ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan opened the door to allowing a conservative legal group to question top aides to Clinton about whether she deliberately sought to thwart open records laws by using a private email server.
After the aides are questioned, it’s likely that Clinton herself would face a subpoena and be deposed.
The judge ruled that Judicial Watch can prepare a plan for “narrowly tailored discovery” into the circumstances surrounding the Democratic presidential candidate’s use of a home-based email server during her stint as the nation’s top diplomat from 2009 to 2013.
The lawsuit stems from a Freedom of Information Act request seeking records related to the employment status of Huma Abedin, Clinton’s former deputy chief of staff. A longtime confidante, Abedin was allowed to work simultaneously for both the State Department and the Clintons’ private foundation. She is now vice chair of Clinton’s 2016 campaign organization.
The judge ordered Judicial Watch to submit its plan by March 15, the date of Democratic Party primaries in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri and Illinois. The group said it will seek to depose under oath both current and former officials of the State Department, and potentially Clinton herself.
The case is one of dozens of pending civil lawsuits over issues surrounding Clinton’s emails. The FBI is also conducting an investigation into whether classified information passed through the home-based server.
Clinton has turned over to the State Department about 55,000 pages of emails from her time as secretary, but has withheld thousands more she deems private. Judicial Watch said it will seek a judicial order forcing federal agency to subpoena copies of all of Clinton’s emails.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton called Sullivan’s order “a major victory for the public’s right to know the truth about Hillary Clinton’s email system.”
“The court-ordered discovery will help determine why the State Department and Mrs. Clinton, even despite receiving numerous FOIA requests, kept the record system secret for years,” Fitton said.

i hope you’re right, but experience tells me that politicians will promise any and every damn thing under the sun BEFORE they’re elected, but deliver on about zero percent of it once actually in office. Take the Right’s main and most recent hero, Reagan, for example. He kept saying, over and over, “government’s the problem.” When he was in office, the number of gov’t employees and programs went UP, didn’t they? And so did the national debt.
So we have it as axiomatic that all politicians will lie(with the possible exception of Ron Paul). It’s a damn shame that every election cycle, CCMSM parades a covey of Klowns for the People to “choose” from, which (if you’re smart and read up on the candidates) usually boils down to holding your nose and picking the one you think has the least stench…or will do the least damage.
The main damage that i’ve seen is in two areas: all the teevee talking heads continually praise democracy and speak of democracy in such glowing terms that most of the Sheeple now believer that Democracy is a Good Thing, when it is not and never HAS been. i certainly have hope that the female Klinton will suffer the consequences outlined for her in Title 18, section 2071 – which includes a small fine(a pittance to one who has millions), a short jail-term(which may be waived), BUT, the most important provision of ALL, she’s permanently banned from holding ANY OFFICE on the public dime again.
i just watched a youtube video in which the suspicious deaths around dozens upon dozens of people around the Klintons were documented, so i believe it’s far more than likely that BOTH of them were complicit in – at a MINIMUM – conspiracy to commit murder, and may even have a body or two each, as well. That’s what happens when people get to thinking they’re above the law, that what applies to the Great Unwashed Masses simply does not apply to the wealthy or well-connected, they become arrogant and haughty. Those who become arrogant and haughty soon make mistakes that no amount of murdering can continue to conceal forever.
In this instance, Hillary’s usual MO is to shred the hell out of all the documents and say “Proof? WHAT proof?” This time, she can’t do it. Emails have a way to be recovered, no matter how well you think you’d deleted or shredded them. The only way i know of to have completely gotten rid of them would have been to destroy the hard drives of dozens of computers, and that would have been such obvious obstruction of justice that even the old liar-lawyer Hillary couldn’t wriggle out of it.
But i suspect that whether or not she’s indicted will depend on who’s pushing the prosecution, because with her access to NSA files, she can get dirt on anyone, anywhere, then blackmail the hell out of them.
Unfortunately, fellow patriots, this once truly greatest of all nations is past the tipping point. It is not only broke, but irretrievably

As far as prosecuting the female Klinton, it is perhaps possible that intelligence will prevail, and she’ll NOT be indicted until after D’ohbama leaves office. If they’re smart, they’ll recognize that a presidential pardon may be in the wings, and wait until there’s NO WAY the oathbreaking criminal and outright traitor of a Current Occupant should EVER get the chance to pardon the bitch. If (God forbid) Hillary manages to steal the election(only by outright FRAUD could this be done, IMO), then a post-D’ohbama indictment becomes even MORE crucial.

That is why the FBI is collecting evidence. When they get enough, they will use it as wedges to offer deals to her aides in return for their testimonies. They could take the fall for Clinton but everyone will know that is exactly what is going on. Clinton would have no qualms at all about throwing her aides under the bus (Clinton: “after all, isn’t that what the little people are for?”). But it is doubtful that all of them would take a prison sentence for her. There was a woman in the Clinton administration who took the fall for Bill Clinton on something. I can’t remember the particulars at the moment–anyone know what they are? I believe the woman served about a year before Clinton gave her a pardon on the way out the door. He gave the notorious Marc Rich a pardon too–and said that the negative publicity that he got out of it was hardly worth it. However, what Billy-boy failed to divulge was the nice big fat annuity that the Clinton slush fund–er…the “Clinton Foundation” received from Marc Rich (who has conveniently died).
