Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been playing political games with America’s ambassadors for too long — and now he’s finally being called out by both President Donald Trump and the mainstream media.
So why has Schumer let hundreds of ambassador positions and other government nominations go unfilled?
Critics say it’s all part of Democrats’ radical agenda to stop anything and everything put forward by the Trump administration — even at the cost of American security.
When asked directly by Fox News, Schumer’s office had no comment.
Trump took to Twitter to complain that countries had called to complain that they lacked a U.S. diplomat and were wondering what the hold-up was —
….Senator Schumer, more than a year longer than any other Administration in history. These are people who have been approved by committees and all others, yet Schumer continues to hold them back from serving their Country! Very Unfair!

Many of the three-hundred nominations have passed through committee but are still awaiting confirmation.
Of 136 ambassador appointments Trump has made, 54 have yet to be approved, according to data found on the American Foreign Service Association.
For example, Retired Gen. John Abizaid was nominated by Trump to take over the ambassadorship to Saudi Arabia in mid-November but has yet to be approved. Abizaid is the former head of U.S. Central Command and is considered highly qualified for the position.
