Chuck Schumer’s JAW DROPPING Trump claim: “He will…”

An arrogant Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stunned reporters on Capitol Hill with claims that Democrats have President Donald Trump trapped on the immigration debate — and he scoffed at the idea that Trump voters may still have sway.

During a press conference Tuesday, Schumer promised that Trump wouldn’t dare veto a budget bill put forward by Democrats.

Even if that bill included full amnesty for illegal immigrants, reporters asked?

Yes, Schumer replied. Anyone currently allowed to stay in the country because of former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) act will be given a path to amnesty, Schumer claimed… and Trump supporters can’t do anything about it.

“He won’t veto the bill. If DACA is in the omnibus, he will not veto it,” Schumer said of Trump. “That is my prediction.”

When pressed over Trump’s demand that DACA amnesty not be included in the spending bill, Schumer implied it wasn’t important. Senate Democrats think amnesty for illegals is important, and that’s all that matters.

So what makes Schumer so confident he has the president in a political checkmate?

The Republican establishment will side with him, not the White House, Schumer claimed.

“Here’s the bottom line: We feel very strongly that DACA must pass and pass by Dec. 31,” Schumer said. “We think we’re going to have a number of our Republican colleagues join us. There are a lot of Republicans who want to pass DACA as well. So I am very optimistic it will pass.”

In other words, when it comes to illegal immigration, Schumer says the do-nothing GOP establishment is more willing to side with the Democratic Party than with Trump voters.
