A Nigerian military source says four detained Boko Haram leaders have been freed in exchange for the release of 21 of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram more than two years ago.
The officer said the extremists were released Wednesday night in Banki, a town on the northeast border with Cameroon. The officer spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the press on the matter.
He said the freed girls were flown by helicopter to Maiduguri, the northeastern capital of Borno state and birthplace of Boko Haram.
Nigeria’s government said the release of the girls is the result of negotiations with Boko Haram. The girls are the first to be released as a result of government action.

How convenient that those girls were released just prior to our presidential election. In time, the Obama/Clinton/Kerry cabal will surely claim they had a hand in the release. It’s plausible that the “Terrible Trio” funnelled millions to Boko Haram to effect the release which will only help the radical Muslim group continue their de-stabilization activities throughout Africa (Hiillary has aided ISIS, why not Boko Haram). And somehow, a good portion of those funds will find their way into the Clinton Foundation and the DNC. Welcome to the nether world of unconscionable politics.
Well maybe Obama/Clinton & Kerry did play a role. Why not give credit where credit is due?
Your comment is insanity. Money given to Boko Haram spreads more violence and those girls are in jeapardy of being retaken if they stay in the same region. They are already ruined mentally, emotionally and physically.
Oh give me a break, Kerry couldn’t find his way out of a dark room with the lights on, and unless there was a dinner with an 18 hole golf course Obama isn’t gonna help and Clinton, well that’s easy did anybody DIE in the exchange, or did anybody donate $25,000,000 to the pay to play Clinton Foundation, nope, well then we know they didn’t help get the kidnapped girls back, but the real QUESTION is, DID THEY HELP GET THEM KIDNAPPED in the first place?
The headline makes it sound like they were ALL released. How many more innocent children are still being held??
I will never forget the awful sick feeling that came over me when I read about the kidnapping of these young girls from a Christian school. I followed the news every day and hoped someone in our government fr state department would arrange to send some kind of covert force to rescue them. After all, I thought, We are America, We won’t stand for this cruelty. Well we didn’t come forward and the news only lasted a day or two. Then I saw something that made me even angrier. The picture of a grinning Michelle Obama holding up a sign “#Bring back our girls.” How disgusting that the only response America had to that tragedy was a grinning Michelle and her hashtag. Now 21 have been released and all but three were carrying babies. What a nightmare these children and their families must have gone through. .
One can only imagine the mental/physical harm done to their young girls during the past two years. Hopefully a few of them are strong enough to relay information about their captors that can be used in a military-type strike or some other retaliation. The word victim is thrown around in our society, but these children are real victims. They did nothing to deserve what was thrown at them.
