Chelsea Clinton running for office!? (she’s serious!)

She has no qualifications, no experience, and no popular support – but former Chelsea Clinton just said she’s thinking about running for office.

The former First Daughter opened up about her idea to run for office in a recent interview to promote her most recent children’s book, “Start Now! You Can Make a Difference.”

“I don’t have any plans to run for office, but it is something I think about,” she said. Chelsea hinted that she wouldn’t take a chance running for some lower office. That is beneath her… why, she might just run straight for the top job!

“I live in a neighborhood in the city and in a state where I feel my family, and what I hope for the world, is well-represented,” she said.

“It’s at the national level where I disagree deeply with President Trump on, I think, everything practically,” she said.

What kind of office would let Chelsea run at the national level?

She could decide to run for president – but she might have to fight her own mother to let her do it.

Pundits say former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s media schedule, fundraising, and national speaking tour makes it obvious she’s running for president a third time in 2020 – but Chelsea pleaded ignorance.

“I support my mom in whatever she wants to do, but she’s never once mentioned that (a presidential run) to me,” Chelsea said in an interview last Thursday with The Journal News of White Plains, New York. The article got picked up and reprinted in the paper’s parent company, USA Today.

But Chelsea held out the possibility she’d run for office as low as city council.

“I like my City Councilwoman Carlina Rivera, I like my senators and I love my public advocate Letitia James who I hope is the next attorney general,” she said.

But then again—“if someone were to step down or retire and I thought I could do a good job and it matched my talents, I’d have to think if it’s the right choice for me.”

Don’t tease us, Chelsea.

“When @ChelseaClinton says she will run for office ‘if someone steps down’,” asked talk show host Andrew Wilkow, “is that code talk for ‘commits suicide’?”

The Clintons have plotted to put the next generation of their dynasty in power for years. “Chelsea would be the next extension of the Clinton brand,” said one Clinton family insider after Hillary lost the 2016 presidential election to then-candidate Donald Trump.

The plan was for Chelsea to take the seat of Democratic Congresswoman Nita Lowey… but Lowey refused to retire.

So, Chelsea kept her day job as vice president of her parents’ dirty foundation, and a string of well-paying gigs that no normal person ever gets.

But she doesn’t just want money, she wants power. So, she keeps reminding the world that she’s available for coronation.

In August, she called herself “a definite maybe” to run for office in two years.

Chelsea said she’d throw her hat in the ring “if my city councilor were to retire, if my congresswoman were to retire, my senators” – pretty much anyone, anywhere, who’d make room for her!

Last Thursday, she repeated that she’d run if “someone were to step down or retire, and I thought I could do a good job and it matched my talents.”

A few people are asking WHAT talents? “What qualifies her to run? Her time working at the corrupt Clinton Foundation?” asked Steve Guest, the Republican Party’s Deputy Rapid Response Director.

At 38, Chelsea has name recognition, millions in the bank, and one of the best-connected political machines the world – everything except a single supporter.

When WKYC-TV in Cleveland asked viewers in the Democrat-heavy city, “Would you vote for her?” – they may not have been prepared for the responses.

“Lol!!! The Clintons are like Cockroaches. They won’t ever die or go away!!” said one viewer before answering, “Hell no.”

A few others said it was time for all the Clintons to go. “America is not about dynasties. She has no qualifications except for her parents’ name and her husband’s money,” said one poster.

“We have 325 million people can’t we find some new people?” said another.

Several just said, “No” or “Never!” Some answered with memes:

Chelsea needs to get it through her head: Democrats are just as sick of the Clintons as everyone else… and nobody wants to vote for their unaccomplished, self-involved daughter.

Last February, a Twitter user got more than 3,100 retweets with a simple message to the liberal media: “STOP TRYING TO MAKE CHELSEA CLINTON HAPPEN.”

And a WKYC viewer had another reason why Chelsea might want to rethink running for office: “It would open up a probe of the Clinton foundation that so much corrupt info would spewed out.”

Think it over, Chelsea. Maybe you should stick with writing children’s books and making your kids spinach pancakes.
