The heir’s to the late Charlie Kirk’s popular radio show have just been officially named.

Salem Radio Network announced Tuesday that CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings and Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow will take over the coveted midday radio time slot formerly held by Kirk, who was assassinated in September at Utah Valley University.

Starting January 5, 2026, Marlow will host the noon to 1 p.m. Eastern hour, while Jennings will expand his current one-hour show to a two-hour program running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern. The three-hour block represents one of the most important time slots in conservative talk radio.

“First, to my friend Andrew Kolvet and the Turning Point USA team, thank you for your stewardship of Charlie’s radio legacy over these last several months. It has been nothing short of brilliant,” Jennings said in a statement. “These are some of the most important hours in talk radio, shaped by voices who didn’t just fill time, but moved the national conversation.”

Jennings, who has gained a massive following for his combative CNN appearances defending President Donald Trump against liberal co-panelists, joined the Salem Media Radio Network earlier this year.

Marlow, who serves as editor-in-chief of Breitbart News and hosts The Alex Marlow Show, paid tribute to Kirk and the conservative media figures who helped shape his career.

“Even before I became the first employee of Breitbart News and a mentee of web pioneer Andrew Breitbart, I was a talk radio junkie. It has been a constant part of my media diet since I was a teenager and has informed my news judgement as I lead Breitbart’s virtual newsroom,” Marlow said. “Many of the hosts that have captured my attention and imagination over the decades are or were on the Salem dial. Larry Elder was my first talk radio love, years went by where I didn’t miss a single moment of the Dennis Prager Show, and it was a rare pleasure to be a weekly guest on my friend Charlie Kirk’s show during the last year of his life.”

The Charlie Kirk Show will continue as a podcast. Andrew Kolvet, Kirk’s longtime producer and current co-host of the podcast along with Blake Neff, expressed gratitude for Salem podcasting’s partnership during the difficult months following Kirk’s death.

“Salem has been so gracious through this process and even encouraged us to continue broadcasting the show on the Salem Radio Network,” Kolvet said. “While The Charlie Kirk Show team is excited to continue the live show and podcast in other venues, ultimately we agreed that Alex and Scott were the perfect hosts to take over on the radio portion.”

Salem anticipates more than 300 radio stations will carry the shows, serving over 1.2 million listeners per week. An additional one million listeners are expected to tune in via podcasts.

David Boyce, executive vice president of Salem Radio Network, thanked Kirk’s widow Erika, Kolvet, and the Turning Point USA team “for the strength and dedication they’ve shown.”

“Charlie was a once-in-a-generation leader, and the way his team has carried forward his mission speaks volumes,” Boyce said.

Kirk, 31, was murdered in cold blood on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an outdoor debate event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The event was part of Turning Point USA’s “American Comeback Tour.”

Kirk’s widow Erika was elected CEO of Turning Point USA on September 18, 2025, succeeding her husband. She has vowed to make Turning Point “the biggest thing this nation has ever seen.”

The noon to 3 p.m. Eastern time slot has been one of the most competitive in conservative talk radio since the death of Rush Limbaugh.
