Biden surrogate raided by FBI over pedophilia allegations

It’s not the headline Democratic president Joe Biden wants — but it’s very real.

A surrogate for the Biden campaign, who appeared in videos with Biden encouraging young people to vote, was the subject in an FBI raid late Monday.

Netflix star Jerry Harris, who is most well-known for his appearance on the popular reality show series “Cheer,” is a vocal supporter of Biden. He is under investigation for soliciting sex from two 14-year-old twin boys, USA Today reported. There is no report on whether Harris, 21-years-old, has been arrested or formally charged.

“The FBI is conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity in the area,” An FBI special agent and public affairs officer told USA Today.

According to their report, Harris’ accusers say he harassed them both online and at cheerleading competitions. When the alleged harassment began, they were 13-years-old and Harris was 19.

Varsity, a cheerleading competition company and clothing brand, notified police in a letter in August that they’d received evidence of “inappropriate sexual conduct” by Harris.

“As a result of the recent allegation, we have barred this person from having any affiliation with Varsity Brands or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, now and in the future,” Varsity’s chief legal officer Burton Brillhart said.

A spokesman for Harris denied the charges when asked by TMZ.

“We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager. We are confident that when the investigation is complete the true facts will be revealed,” the spokesman reportedly said.

Harris and Biden reportedly engaged in a number of Instagram live videos in June, and Harris encouraged his 1.2 million social media followers to get out and vote for the Democratic presidential nominee.
