Lost in the fanfare of President Donald Trump’s inauguration this past January was a subtle interaction between Trump’s son, Barron, and former President Joe Biden.
For months, people have speculated what the first son quietly whispered into Biden’s ear.
Today, we have the answer — straight from a member of the Trump family.
According to Barron’s older brother, Eric Trump, Barron was “very respectable” when he interacted with Biden at the Capitol Rotunda for his father’s inauguration in January.
The footage, which has once again gone viral, Barron Trump quietly approached Biden, shook hands, and said something to the former president.
After months of speculation, Eric Trump finally cleared the air about the viral interaction.
While speaking to conservative podcast host Megyn Kelly, Eric revealed that his little brother said very kind words to Biden.
“One night I call Barron and I go ‘Buddy, what did you actually say?’ And it was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right,” Eric told Kelly.
“But like, ‘Congratulations, and best of luck to you,’ or something like that. Something very respectable,” Eric revealed.

In the months after the viral back-and-forth, many speculated that the younger Trump had lashed out at Biden after cameras caught Biden’s smile suddenly dropping after the interaction.
Eric also revealed that PBD Podcast host Patrick Bet-David asked him whether his younger brother had cursed at Biden during the White House encounter.
“Patrick Bet-David, I was on his show and he goes, ‘Did Barron really tell Biden to go f himself?’ He [Barron] just doesn’t have that in him,” Eric Trump claimed.
“He’s probably thinking it, he definitely has it up here, but like he’s too courteous to actually go out there and say it,” he added.
Barron Trump, despite still being enrolled at New York University (NYU), has continued to make major waves within his father’s political team.
Insiders credit Barron Trump for being instrumental in helping his father’s 2024 presidential campaign reach younger audiences.
Donald Trump credited his son for guiding him on reaching a younger audience and helping him win the presidential election last November.
Barron’s mother, first lady Melania Trump, previously said her son was instrumental because he “knows his generation.”
Last month, Donald Trump’s former social media manager, Jake Advent, revealed that Barron is being pitched for a top job at TikTok.
“I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and maybe other young Americans to TikTok’s board to help ensure it remains an app young people want to keep using,” Advent told the Daily Mail at the time.
President Trump signed an executive order in September approving the transfer of the social media platform’s US operations to a consortium of American-based investors after speaking with Chinese President Xi Jinping. TikTok is owned by Chinese firm ByteDance.
About 43% of U.S. adults under the age of 30 say they regularly get news from TikTok, higher than any other social media app including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, according to a Pew Research Center report.
Barron recently moved back into the White House while he attends classes at New York University’s DC campus in the nation’s capital.
