A senior intelligence official has come forward with explosive allegations detailing how the Obama administration manufactured the Russia collusion narrative against President Donald Trump, revealing six years of threats, corruption, and deliberate cover-ups at the highest levels of government.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a stunning 19-page document Wednesday that provides the whistleblower’s firsthand account of how former President Barack Obama directed the creation of the fraudulent Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that launched years of investigations against Trump despite being based on knowingly false information.
“Thank you to the brave Intelligence Community Whistleblower who courageously came forward to expose the truth about one of the biggest and most impactful scandals in our nation’s history,” Gabbard said in an official statement.
“The Whistleblower put their own well-being on the line to defend our democratic republic and ensure the American people learned the truth about how President Obama directed the creation of Intelligence Community Assessment that knowingly promoted falsehoods claiming Russia helped President Trump get elected in 2016.”
The whistleblower, who served as a Deputy National Intelligence Officer for the National Intelligence Council from 2015 to 2020, detailed how their direct supervisor threatened their career advancement unless they endorsed the intelligence assessment, despite serious concerns about the discredited information.
“I could not concur in good conscience based on information available” that Russia preferred then-candidate Trump in 2016, the whistleblower said.
According to the whistleblower’s account, their supervisor made clear that accepting the January 2017 ICA’s findings would be necessary to receive a promotion.. When the whistleblower refused to comply, they faced retaliation and were systematically ignored, they claimed.
Perhaps most damaging, the whistleblower records reveal that former DNI James Clapper and other senior Obama administration officials privately denounced the infamous Steele Dossier as unreliable.
“They manufactured findings from shoddy sources, they suppressed evidence and credible intelligence that disproved their false claims, they disobeyed tradecraft intelligence communities standards, and withheld the truth from the American people,” Gabbard explained. “We are telling the truth to the American people.”
The whistleblower made desperate attempts over six years to report their concerns through proper channels, contacting more than a dozen government offices including the IC Inspector General, Special Counsel Durham, a U.S. Senator, and other official whistleblower channels. Each attempt was either ignored or dismissed by officials who were reportedly complicit in the cover-up.
“In doing so, the Obama Administration sought to delegitimize the 2016 election and President Trump’s presidency, subverting the will of the American people and enacting essentially a years-long coup against President Trump and the American people,” she said.
Gabbard said the fraudulent intelligence assessment created by Obama’s team became “the foundation for multiple investigations and legal actions against President Trump and other senior officials,” demonstrating how the manufactured intelligence was weaponized to target the incoming president and his administration.
“Americans will finally learn the truth about how in 2016, intelligence was politicized and weaponized by the most powerful people in the Obama Administration to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President [Donald Trump], subverting the will of the American people and undermining our democratic republic,” Gabbard wrote on social media.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt backed Gabbard’s findings, calling the Russia collusion narrative one of the “greatest scandals in American history” and saying Obama went to “great and nefarious lengths” to delegitimize Trump’s 2016 presidential victory.
“There was no collusion, no corruption, except on the part of Barack Obama and the weaponized intelligence agencies at the time,” Leavitt declared during a press briefing. “The Russia collusion hoax was a massive fraud, perpetuated on the American people from the very beginning. And the worst part of this is Obama knew that truth and so did all the other corrupt officials involved in this scam.”
Trump “had nothing to do with Russia” and that the truth has finally come to light nearly 10 years later, vindicating Trump and his closest allies, Leavitt said.
