The US Navy just took delivery of its new warship, the USS Milwaukee.
And to celebrate, builder Lockheed Martin commissioned a custom Harley Davidson chopper. The motorcycle sports a grey on black paintjob, with details inspired by Navy shipyards.
The bike will appear at a series of events celebrating the launch of the Milwaukee, then auctioned off to benefit the National Military Family Association.
The new USS Milwaukee is the fifth ship to bear the “Milwaukee” name. It’s part of a new Freedom class of “Littoral” multipurpose warships. The Milwaukee is 378 feet long and will be manned by up to 65 seamen. Its 4 engines can push it to a top speed of 47 knots.
