Authorities say a Maine man used a front-end loader to repeatedly pick up and drop his son’s mobile home during a family dispute and only stopped when he learned his 7-year-old grandson was inside.
The York County sheriff’s department says 50-year-old John Bubar was involved in a dispute with his 27-year-old son, Michael, on Sunday over rent payments and debris in the yard.
The son and his family live in a mobile home on John Bubar’s property in Parsonsfield.
Authorities say the elder Bubar damaged the mobile home with a front-end loader and backhoe.
Bubar was arrested on a charge of domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon. His grandson wasn’t hurt.
It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney.

Though I don’t agree with his method, I understand his anger, this generation of poor me and it is all about me don’t want to do anything but get handouts. How hard is it to keep the place clean? He is on his father’s land and he refuses to pay to stay there when he is 27 years of age? The least he could have done was keep the place clean, but this type of anger goes deep, the son was allowed to stay for how long without paying rent? How long was the garbage an issue? The man obviously cared about his grandchildren since that is what got him to stop. Most people don’t go off the deep end like that without being provoked, would have been cheaper to have the mobile moved off his land.
