Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is your classic case of “do as I say, not as I do” — especially when it comes to her disdain for the everday American.
Even AOC’s most loyal supporters are fuming over a recent stunt she pulled on a flight that has many calling her a hypocrite.
Ocasio-Cortez was photographed enjoying a luxurious first-class flight to join Sen. Bernie Sanders’, I-V.T., event late last month, where she promised a cheering crowd she would fight against the wealthy.
The viral photo now has critics saying it shows how she battles inequality one “mimosa at a time.”
A fellow passenger snapped AOC getting comfy in the roomy first-class cabin of JetBlue Flight 511 on March 19 that departed from JFK Airport in Queens for Las Vegas, where she spoke at a Sanders rally titled “Fighting Oligarchy.”

“Nothing says, ‘Power to the people’ like ignoring voters looking to say hello and reclining in first class while tweeting about income inequality,” the flier who took the photo told The New York Post.
“AOC is fighting the system one first-class mimosa at a time,” said the passenger, Tracey, who is from Brooklyn and was sitting in the economy cabin.
According to various reports, first-class JetBlue seat on a similar route, weekday, and time later this month costs can cost over $1,000 each way.
That should be a good chunk of Ocasio-Cortez’ $174,000 annual salary… so how can she splurge on a quick roundtrip flight to attend rallies where she said, “We as a community must choose and vote for Democrats and elected officials who know how to stand for the working class.”
“We’re gonna throw these bums out and fight for the nation we deserve,” the congresswoman said.
“This isn’t just about Republicans. We need a Democratic Party that fights harder for us, too.”
Ocasio-Cortez also has been a vocal critic of “carbon emissions” and, in the past, has railed against first-class flights because they typically produce many times the carbon emissions of economy seats since they take up more room, thus reducing the number of people able to fly at one time.
Critics say this is just the latest example of hypocrisy from AOC.
“Socialists are hypocrites. I’m surprised she didn’t take a private jet like most of her comrades,” quipped Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., who represents Staten Island and Brooklyn.
State Conservative Party chairman Gerard Kassar said Ocasio-Cortez was proving just how much she’s “out of touch with her principles.”
“It’s absolutely rich in hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is the operative word,” Kassar said.
