Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ 2028 running mate is…

Just eight years after she stunned the political world by ousting a powerful House Democratic leader in a primary, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s path to the top of the Democratic Party has never been more clear.

Now, Ocasio-Cortez is openly making plans for a 2028 presidential campaign to take her brand of Democratic socialism straight to the White House… and her radical leftist campaign’s running mate is all but set in stone: New York City’s socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Tuesday, Ocasio-Cortez cruised to a primary win against her opponents. Meanwhile, three Democratic Socialists of America candidates backed by Mamdani swept their own primaries in the city.

Together, the results cement AOC and Mamdani as the new twin power centers of a Democratic Party that has become radically leftist and openly socialist.

Mamdani’s three endorsed candidates didn’t just win. They ran the table. Democratic Socialist Darializa Avila Chevalier unseated Rep. Adriano Espaillat, chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

State Assembly Member Claire Valdez, another DSA socialist, beat Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso by more than 20 points for the seat being vacated by retiring longtime Rep. Nydia Velazquez.

Brad Lander crushed incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman, the congressman who once served as lead counsel in President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial.

Bernie Sanders, the 84-year-old godfather of the modern socialist movement sweeping Democrat-run cities, joined Mamdani in backing all three winners.

Ocasio-Cortez, who paired up with Sanders last year for his so-called “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, is no longer the only Marxist winning elections in deep Blue primaries.

“AOC has built a political brand that certainly has staying power,” Democratic strategist Joe Caiazzo, who worked on Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, told Fox News. “Her influence has grown exponentially since defeating Crowley.”

Progressive Change Campaign Committee co-founder Adam Green framed Tuesday’s results as validation for the entire socialist movement.

“New York’s clean sweep was a political earthquake that shows voters want shake-up-the-system fighters who are not owned by corporate interests, billionaires, or corrupt Trump allies like AIPAC,” Green said. “This is obviously good news for AOC in whatever race she runs next.”

That “whatever race” question is the one consuming Washington. Ocasio-Cortez has openly flirted with a 2028 presidential run, although she has also not ruled out a primary challenge against 75-year-old Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer.

Asked directly by Fox News whether she might seek the presidency in 2028, Ocasio-Cortez gave a coy answer.

“Could I be president? Could I not be president? Maybe, maybe not,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Her running mate is clear: Mamdani. The New York City mayor now controls the most effective socialist political machine in the country’s largest city. AOC commands the largest individual radical leftist following in Congress,.

On Tuesday night, both of their fingerprints were all over the results

Now it’s up to America to stop the socialist takeover of the entire country.
