The notorious Rev. Al Sharpton is seriously considering entering the 2020 Democratic presidential race, according to PJ Media.
And there’s one politician that thinks Sharpton 2020 a great idea: Sen. Ted Cruz.

In fact, Cruz, R-T.X., thinks the Democrats should flood the field with every possible eligible candidate — even former President Jimmy Carter — because their presence will only help President Donald Trump be re-elected.
What America needs: more Dem presidential candidates! Just a reminder, under the 22nd Amendment, Jimmy Carter’s still eligible for another term…. https://t.co/KDGiPKRqp8

Sharpton admitted that he was considering the idea of a presidential run when he was asked about the 2020 election just two days after a sharp exchange with Trump over the city of Baltimore.
“I never rule anything out,” Sharpton told Buzzfeed, though he said he hadn’t formed a formal exploratory committee.
Throughout his career, Sharpton has made numerous inflammatory anti-Semitic and anti-gay comments.

He’s incited violence and racial hatred numerous times, and has been convicted of financial crimes in the past. His various unsuccessful runs for U.S. Senate, New York City mayor, and president have resulted in at least one huge fine for misappropriated campaign funds.
He also still reportedly owes millions in unpaid taxes from his nonprofit organization, which pays him a huge six-figure annual salary. Sharpton says he’s repaying the unpaid taxes through a negotiated deal with the IRS.
In other words, Sharpton’s presence on the campaign trail would bring to light some of the more sinister parts of the Democratic Party.
Cruz and other conservative activists welcome that plan.
