The crime spike in Washington, D.C. is inching towards the White House — and shocking video from a popular tourist destination in the capital shows how close it has come to the people’s house.
Two people were shot Thursday near the popular Logan Circle, just a few blocks from the White House.
A Huffington Post reporter said he “heard 20 to 30 gunshots near 14th and R streets in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington shortly after 8 p.m., which sent people running from restaurants. A witness said a black sedan pulled up outside several restaurants and began shooting onto the sidewalk.”
Shocking footage of the violence in the upscale area quickly went viral.

The two men wounded in that attack are expected to survive, authorities said.
They’re asking the public for help identifying the shooters.
The mass shooting comes during a spike in crime in the nation’s capital. Just days ago, another mass shooting occurred outside a packed Major League Baseball stadium during a game between the Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres.
