In what the Associated Press billed as “largest public satanic ceremony in history”, satanists in Detroit unveiled a massive statue of their idol in front of hundreds of cheering supporters and reporters at a ceremony in late July. The group then announced plans to use the constitutionally protected freedom of religion to rub this right in the face of every day America.
Now they’ve finally decided how. The statue is going to be constructed outside the State Capitol Building in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The group issued a press release Tuesday stating, “In a letter sent via certified mail to Arkansas’ Capitol Arts and Grounds Commission, The Satanic Temple formally requested permission to place their controversial ‘Baphomet’ monument alongside a Ten Commandments monument at the Capitol in Little Rock,”
The 1½-ton statue of “Baphomet” is 8 1/2 feet tall, backed by an inverted pentagram and flanked by statues of two young children gazing up at the creature, who has horns, hooves, wings, and a beard.
The satanic group previously erected a display in December outside Michigan’s state Capitol in Lansing. The Satanic alter featured a snake offering a book called “Revolt of the Angels” as a gift. The snake was wrapped around the Satanic cross on the 3-feet-by-3-feet display. It was taken down for good after the Christmas season.
Well why not. The “Devil” is a fiction just as “god” is a fiction. Really nothing to get yer panties in a budge about.
Unfortunately, if you keep with that mindset, you will find that you are horribly mistaken at the end of your life. After death it is too late to change your mind. Both God and the devil are real, just as Heaven and Hell are real. I will be praying for you to seek and accept the maker of the universe and especially His Son, Jesus Christ, for Jesus must be accepted in order to reach the Father God.

Even by your standards, there should be something to “get your panties in a budge about”. If Satan isn’t real and is just an allegorical symbol for evil, and God isn’t real and is just an allegorical symbol for good, how is erecting a symbol to evil of no importance? Unless you are so submerged into the liberal progressive belief in relativistic ethics that you don’t believe that anything that feels good is wrong? Or worse, do you embrace evil as a life direction?
So you are an atheist! Well just to let you know there is still some hope for you.I think it is 95 percent of atheists while on their deathbed reach out to the God they never believed in, although God always believed in them! Hopefully one day you will see the light and welcome it with open arms.

Lets worry when people start gathering in droves and bowing down and worshipping this thing. “Satanic” statuary and other art has a long history. If you don’t know what it is, and look at it just as a piece of art, it is actually rather interesting.

Don’t you know that’s how Satan works? He nudges you along ever so minutely. Things are so small, hardly worrying about or noticing it until you become too deeply entrenched to even notice the difference anymore. He’s like that with everything in your life if you give in to him, don’t be fooled.
The ten commandments are the core of an early legal system which is, historically, a foundation of law in Western Civilization, and thus law in the State of Arkansas. Satanic worship, on the other hand, had no such foundational part to play in our legal system, or for that matter, any significant part in our culture. Historically, it has been associated with lawlessness and anarchy, which makes it a poor display in front of a statehouse. Today it seems to be primarily an anti-religious movement, similar to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Presumably, most (but not all) of those cheering for the statue believe in neither God nor Satan.
Contrary to the implied claims of its adherents, the two displays are not analogous.
IF you who write so adamently in judgement of one(s) who differ with you, yet supposedly support a GOD OF LOVE while showing no compassion or tolerance, perhaps it is time for YOU to look within yourself, examine your own thoughts, beliefs and practices. In other words, clean the moat from your own eyes before a challenge is given to another to clean the speck from theirs! Your Bible states: “JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED”!
The Bible also says “by their fruits you shall know them.” A fig tree does not produce lemons, nor does a lemon tree produce apricots..
The GOD OF LOVE that you mentioned just happens to love mankind enough to sacrifice his own Son (Jesus the Christ).. He died in your place so that you may go to heaven instead of hell..
Society has progressed to this point. The point of no return. You are the sum of your thoughts if you think good it will result in good reactions or deeds. If you think evil the same will transpire. Sad Times…….
