Joe Biden promised to usher in change if he got elected and, even though the election result is still in dispute, there’s already one huge difference: The top news networks have stopped using the term “superspreader event,” at least when it comes to Biden’s supporters.
After the media proclaimed that Biden won the 2020 presidential election—usurping a role the Constitution gives to the Electoral College—the nation saw the largest collection of pro-Democratic crowds since this summer’s riots.
Thousands crowded into Times Square on Saturday night to celebrate by chanting, “F—k Trump!”
“You could just feel the love!” said Biden backer Harold Person, who drove all the way from New Haven to celebrate with others in person.
New York state has the largest number of coronavirus infections in the country, due largely to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s mismanagement by forcing nursing homes to admit elderly patients who tested positive for the virus.
Despite the risk, Biden’s supporters didn’t socially distance from each others. Pictures show them standing shoulder-to-shoulder, rubbing elbows, touching arms, and screaming with their fists in the air—and not just in Times Square. Democrats crammed like sardines into every big city square they could find.
Democrats broke COVID-19 protocol from New Orleans to Phoenix, from Atlanta to Philadelphia, and from sea to shining sea.
Crowds bulged in pictures of “Black Lives Matter Plaza” outside the White House in Washington, D.C.
In Manhattan, Democrats held a dance-off.
More met in Boston, and in nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard University held a raucous rally.
“We are all done with the fascist dictatorship of Donald Trump,” a woman at the rally told reporters.
Joe Biden’s said his first act in office would be requiring that every American wear a mask, even though the president has no such power under the Constitution.
An estimated 2,000 people met in the Castro District of San Francisco—a city not immune to disease—to scream in joy, abusing caricatures of Donald Trump and asking Joe Biden to “lock him up!”
The media, and the nation’s leading public health authorities, have largely remained silent about the threats of spreading the coronavirus.
“Where is @JoeBiden calling on the massive Super Spreader events held in his name to end?” asked White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Their decision to give Biden’s supporters a pass is a radical departure from how they covered President Trump’s rallies, or even drive-by protests opposing Michigan’s ultra-strict lockdown orders.
Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN President Donald Trump was “asking for trouble” by holding his massive campaign events like the one in Butler, Pennsylvania, which drew an estimated 57,000 people.
A highly questionable study this fall claimed that 18 Trump campaign rallies caused 30,000 cases of COVID-19, including 700 deaths.
We can’t wait for the Stanford study of the Biden/Harris celebrations or the Black Lives Matter/Antifa riots, which claimed a few lives of their own.
The media even blamed President Trump personally for the death of his close friend and supporter Herman Cain, after the conservative speaker appeared at a Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
But, just as they did during the Black Lives Matter riots, they ignored this weekend’s political partying.
Thus far, Dr. Fauci hasn’t said a word about the Democratic superspreader events. Ditto all the media sources that claimed every Make America Great Again event would be a petrie dish of death.
One of CNN’s anchors has been harder than Dr. Fauci on Biden and Harris’ supporters for their enormous celebrations. “I hate to be a scold here, but we just had the highest day of infections in the United States,” Jake Tapper said on Saturday. “It’s good to see people wearing masks – although for some of them they’re slipping off their face.”
Wearing masks is no substitute for avoiding large crowds, according to the nation’s highest authority on the matter. “The mask is not a substitute for social distancing,” according to the coronavirus guidelines posted on the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC)’s website.
Even the stars of the country music industry have been more outspoken than Fauci and the Democrats.
Saturday Night Live canceled an appearance by country star Morgan Wallen after cameras caught him partying without a mask. Wallen shared a picture of the Biden crowds on his Instagram account, telling his fans it’s “time to start booking shows.”
“The hypocrisy is unreal,” Wallen wrote, obviously upset by the double standard he’d suffered. “If it’s OK for us to party in the streets with no ‘social distancing,’ then we can book shows right now.”
Brian Kelley of the country band Florida Georgia Line shared a photo of the bulging Biden crowds wit the message, “Time to go back to work AMERICA. Booking shows ASAP.”
What’s good for the donkey is good for the elephant.
