Adam Schiff: If Trump wins, I’ll leave America

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and the Democrat-led impeachment effort earlier this year failed to remove President Donald Trump from office.

Heading towards the 2020 presidential election, Schiff joked that he’ll leave the United States and move to Canada if Trump wins re-election.

Earlier this week, Schiff was invited to discuss “Social Media Disinformation and Election Interference” by George Washington University where he warned that foreign election meddling will impact the 2020 election.

“We may all be moving to Canada soon,” if Trump wins re-election, he said.

Schiff said government oversight of social media may have to happen.

The House Intelligence chief said he gets “the sense that there’s something going on at Twitter, that maybe, we’ve reached the last straw for what the management of Twitter can take, in terms of what they’re seeing how their platform is being used.”

He also said that Facebook will “need to be pulled and dragged into this era of corporate responsibility.”

“The economic incentives are simply too powerful for continuation of the status quo,” Schiff said.

“Before we move to Canada,” the moderator said. “At your hearing last week ….”

Schiff interrupted and delighted the crowd.

“We may all be moving to Canada soon,” he said to cheers and laughs.

Social media users responded, welcoming Schiff’s move out of America.

Before the 2016 election, liberal celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell, politicians like Al Sharpton, and even Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg threatened to leave the United States if Trump defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Of course, Trump did win — and none of them left.

FLASHBACK: Oops! Celebrities now refuse to leave Trump’s America
