After years of biting his lip, President Donald Trump finally dropped the bomb on Barack Obama’s undercover efforts to spike the 2016 election for Hillary Clinton.
“Treason. Treason. It’s treason,” Trump told CBN News analyst David Brody on Monday.
A three-year-long investigation designed to impeach and remove Trump from office over “collusion” with Russian intelligence backfired horribly. All the evidence turned up was that FBI spying on the Trump campaign originated during a meeting inside the Oval Office with then-President Obama—and faithful Vice President Joe Biden at his side.
“They’d been spying on my campaign,” Trump continued.
The Obama administration went so far as to pass off the Steele dossier—a pile of opposition research paid for by the Democratic Party—as a legitimate piece of intelligence in order to obtain, and renew, FISA court warrants to wiretap Trump campaign officials.
Trump said for years that the Obama administration had wiretapped GOP campaign officials during the 2016 election, even though all the “experts” assumed Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide.
“Turned out I was right,” Trump said. “Let’s see what happens to them now.”
His televised comments followed a series of increasingly bold comments and tweets from the president about “Obamagate,” calling it the worst crime in presidential history.

And Trump’s statements came just after Attorney General William Barr called the Obama administration’s spy tactics “the closest we have come to an organized effort to push a president out of office” since the Lincoln assassination.
But what happens if Barack Obama committed treason and no one reports it?
That’s one tactic the media has used: All Obama’s scandals have gone down the memory hole.
“The sitting president just accused his predecessor of committing treason by investigating him for possibly colluding with the Kremlin and it’s like a Page 13 story in most newspapers. It’s not even linked on the Drudge Report,” wrote conservative blogger Allahpundit on HotAir.com.
In fact, the media turned the tables and once again used this as a weapon to beat Donald Trump.
In its best elementary playground voice, MSNBC said President Trump’s allegations were “crazypants nonsense.”
“To think Barack Obama committed treason is insane. Second, no one spied (or is currently spying) on the Trump campaign,” MSNBC reported incorrectly.
The Los Angeles Times wrote that the interview was just another example of Trump pushing “incendiary and unsubstantiated theories about his predecessor.”
CNN outdid them all, running not one but two stories, calling Trump’s charges “unfounded” and “unhinged.”
“In reality, there is no evidence that the Obama spied on Trump’s campaign,” CNN’s gasbags gaslighted.
You’d expect that from the liberal media, but sitting senators in his own party also accused the president of crazy talk.
“I don’t think that President Obama committed treason,” said usually conservative Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C. Neighboring state Sen. Lindsey Graham, RINO-S.C., said, “I don’t have any evidence to believe he committed treason.”
That may be because Graham’s committee has investigated the Deep State slower than molasses in January.
Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., called Trump’s charge “silly.” Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., called it “inflammatory,” and Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said, “obviously, he shouldn’t have said that.”
Of course, the media had a much different standard for indicting someone for “treason” when President Trump was the accused, a capital crime and the only crime listed in the U.S. Constitution.
The anti-Trump media celebrated when Obama’s CIA director, onetime Communist Party voter and possible perjurer John Brennan, said that President Trump’s actions were “nothing short of treason.”

They ate it up when Never Trump “Republican” Senator Jeff Flake – who called Trump “vile” for accusing Democrats of treason – accused President Trump of “giving aid and comfort to an enemy”…which is the legal definition of treason.
MSNBC even compared Trump’s comments to “Pearl Harbor” and “Kristallnacht.”
It’s all part of the media’s “heads I win, tails you lose” strategy of covering conservatives in general and President Donald Trump in particular.
When the media still believed empty promises from Obama legacy appointees that U.S. intelligence agencies had the goods on Trump working hand-in-glove with the Kremlin, they treated their viewers wall-to-wall “Russiagate” coverage.
They waited on pins and needles for the Mueller report.
Once it came to light that the whole operation was a Deep State ruse—mastermined by Barack Obama—they couldn’t drop the subject fast enough.
Now, as far as they’re concerned just to mention the facts proves that you’re insane.
It’s all a tactic to make as many ugly accusations as possible against the president and his supporters before Democrats start going on trial, or to prison, for illegally spying on the Trump campaign.
“If the Democrats can politically cripple Trump now, then they may be able to survive” the “flood of indictments” and “ugly facts” that will come out after the investigation, Rush Limbaugh said.
“The coup to oust Donald Trump” and “to rip to shreds the Constitution” is “ongoing,” Rush Limbaugh.
As usual, Rush is right. And the future of the America system of government hangs in the balance.
