President Donald Trump is fed-up with Fox News — and he’s asking for an “alternative” cable news network to fill the conservative void.
Trump’s reaction came on Sunday after Fox News pushed “Democrat talking points” during their weekend programming.
The president said conservatives have been growing tired of the network’s increasingly left-leaning spin — and so is he.
Trump specifically named former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile and former House Speaker Paul Ryan’s addition to the network as a cause for concern.
“.@FoxNews just doesn’t get what’s happening!” he wrote. “They are being fed Democrat talking points, and they play them without hesitation or research.”
“They forgot that Fake News @CNN and [MSNBC] wouldn’t let @FoxNews participate, even a little bit, in the poor ratings Democrat Debates,” Trump said.
“Even the Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats laugh at the Fox suggestion,” he continued. “No respect for the people running @FoxNews.”
Trump said that even though the left laughs at Fox News, their executives are still trying to get the network accepted by their peers.
“But Fox keeps on plugging to try and become politically correct,” the president wrote. “They put RINO Paul Ryan on their Board. They hire ‘debate questions to Crooked Hillary’ fraud @donnabrazile (and others who are even worse).”
Trump was referring to Brazile secretly forwarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign questions CNN had prepared ahead of an upcoming debate during the 2016 presidential campaign.
“Chris Wallace is nastier to Republican than even Deface the Nation or Sleepy Eyes,” Trump continued, referring to CBS News’ “Face the Nation” and MSNBC host Chuck Todd. “The people who are watching @FoxNews, in record numbers (thank you President Trump), are angry.”
“They want an alternative now,” he said. “So do I!”
