As Republican mainliners, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, rushed to condemn billionaire Donald Trump’s plan to ban Muslim immigrants from entering America, Trump issued a veiled threat to bolt from the GOP.
As the heat intensified on Trump on Tuesday, he sent the following tweet to his 5 million Twitter followers:

The Republican party has long feared an independent run by Trump, which many believe would split the conservative vote and hand the White House to Hillary Clinton.
The Republican Party, said Jeb Bush adviser Ana Navarro, is stuck between “a rock and a jerk” less than eight weeks before the first primary-season votes are cast in Iowa.
Beleaguered 2016 rivals and other GOP politicians condemned Trump’s proposal and complained that his divisive positions were dominating attention in the crowded Republican contest.
“This is not conservatism,” declared House Speaker Paul Ryan, the Republican Party’s top elected leader. “What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for. And more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for.”
One by one, Republican officials across the country lashed out at Trump’s plan, which calls for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” to help quell the threat of terrorism.
In Mississippi, Republican National Committee member Henry Barbour said Trump’s comments “aren’t worthy of someone who wants to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.” He said Trump would be a “disaster politically for the GOP if he won the nomination.”
Barbour helped author the Republican National Committee’s “Growth and Opportunity Project” after a painful 2012 presidential election that forced party leaders to re-evaluate their strategy in presidential contests to reflect the nation’s demographic shifts. Among other things, the report cited an urgent need for GOP leaders to adopt an inclusive and welcoming tone on issues such as immigration.
Yet Trump has vaulted to the top of the Republican 2016 field by attacking immigrants in many cases. His continued popularity underscores the deep divide between Republican leaders and the party’s conservative base, which holds outsized influence in the presidential nomination process.
Indeed, Trump’s plan was cheered during a South Carolina rally Monday evening, and vocal supporters across the country defended the Muslim ban as necessary for national security. Polling suggests the sentiment is likely fueled by sharp strain of xenophobia: A new AP-GfK poll found 8 in 10 Republicans think there are too many immigrants coming from the Middle East.
Trump showed little concern for critics Tuesday.
“I don’t care about them,” he told CNN. “I’m doing what’s right.”

In dealing with the existential threat we face, we have to do what has the highest chance of protecting us, with no regard for how extreme those measures are.
While most Muslims do not obey the Koran’s command to strike terror in the hearts of the infidels, 100% of those who do seek to spread Islam through terror are Muslims. Since 100% of them are included in the category ‘Muslim’, Trump’s idea has the highest chance of protecting us. Publicly criticizing Trump’s plan in favor of measures with lower chances of success than his plan is more reckless than anything Trump has said. We need extreme measures, and the other candidates’ criticism shows that Trump is the only one who will not shy away from extreme measures in this and other areas (e.g. eliminating certain federal agencies).

What we can do, and what is legal according to the Constitution, is to ban immigrants from a particular country or group of countries. That’s the right, legal way to keep Muslim terrorists from coming here.
Now if some of you can’t see the difference, let me make it clear: Trump said ban the religion. Illegal. Those he and you appear to be mad at said ban the countries. Legal.
Both may accomplish the same thing, but the one is the wrong way and will cause tremendous problems in the future if more evil people get into power. The other is the right and legal way and will not cause problems in the future.

TRUMP should announce that if elected he will kick butt, take names and make America great again, in just TWO YEARS! Then, RESIGN. Making TED CRUZ president. Why would he do that? Two reasons: Notoriety and Ego! He would be the first ever to put forth such a plan, and he would be saying that he is bigger than the presidency, that he has other things to do. He’d put the nation back on the right course and then hand it off to capable hands. Nothing in our Constitution prohibits us from making sure our enemies can’t come into the country. In fact, their is a Sedition clause in the Constitution which prohibits anyone from advocating the overthrow or destruction of our government. Mr. GW, above , may be correct.,, But. the Muslim man ( a part of is family was killed) who made the plea for the opportunity to pray (as a Muslim) with any one in their church, temple, or synagogue–because the Koran says that the “killing of any innocent person is like murdering the whole human race” (or words to that effect) Well, we must understand that the Koran does not consider non Muslim persons “innocent.” The Koran tells the “faithful” they must convert every human or else eliminate them. Is this not correct? So Trump making a statement that he did, is a step toward protecting the majority of Americans–Maybe?

One of the most important needs we have to have is a NON-POLITICAL process in the House and the Senate. The are all POLITICIONS, NOT the normal citizen who works for his earnings. Trump has no motivation for money or wealth. His background includes building and developing special locations of homes and recreations, as well as family. So the first thing to look at is, what is his motivation ?? In my opinion this would include, lower costs of living to the citizens , a less expensive Congress, the ability to lower and possible remove the Government DEBT that we are paying for NOW. The TAXATION we have been expanding for many years, would be reduced. This would include a lower expense for our homes and costs of living in every ones home and locations through out our country. In other words, Your Freedom would be easier and greater than what you have seen since the 1970’s and 1980’s. Today we have an expensive cost of living, ie called Inflation. That happens when Congress continues spend money that we do not have, but the taxation continues. In directly, this would change our cost of living and opportunities to continue the Manufacturing that we have made. We are losing our jobs because of higher costs of living and manufacturing, and if we stay in this position, we will walk into a Deflationary economy, as in the 1920’s and the 1930’s and that will last for 5 to 8 years before we would be able to recover. My back ground is the Investment Markets. I have been through 2 deflations, the 1920 thru 19 30’s, a crash in 1987, 1996, and the one that has already started within this last year. This is the subtle way our economy works. I have not heard any of this from any of these candidates, including Trump, BUT He is the only one that would resolve it appropriately. I have said enough, we have many issues coming in these next 6 to 7 years. Does anyone even remember that horrible first so called “Republican Debate”? The one that everyone on that overcrowded stage “Nicely” said that they (With the help of the non-Trump commentator) basically swore to support the one who won the nomination — except for Trump?
Well, even though Trump has not yet officially won the nomination, just witness the sour grapes reactions of today by all those loosing candidates. It doesn’t look like ANY of them have ANY intentions of keep their so called “word” of supporting the only one that seems to be preferred by legal American citizens.
If, despite the GOP establishment, Trump would happen to win the nomination, (not unlike Ronald Reagan did), do you truly believe they would all suddenly and “Nicely” support Trump to beat whichever the Dems could scrounge up to run for the job of our next president of the United States of America? I don’t think so. If you were honest to yourself, you would also believe that they have no intenion of even keeping their word back on that first “Debate”.
TRUMP would be added to that short list of really Great American Presidents that made our country great in the past. Please vote for TRUMP. Our country needs him to NOW right our ship.
Lets give Donald Trump a green light by donating a little something to his campaign. By doing so if he desides to leave the party? He will have some kind of an idea, just how many followers he has when he begins the process.
If we sincerely want to help him produce (A Great America) it has to cost you a little something.
If you hear his message he says and I quote, “Let’s make America Great Again!) This is a plural statement not singular.
My point is it will make it easier for him to know what to do. Thank You, For Helping Making America Great Again.
I’m not sure how many conservative voters Trump would pull away from the GOP. I haven’t heard much from Mr. Trump regarding his stand on hot button issues like abortion, gay rights, women’s rights, religious freedom, etc. Depending on where he comes down on social issues he could pull more Democrats from Hillary than conservatives from the Republican party.
The presidential primaries and caucuses are still more than a month away. The voters will determine who the Republican frontrunner is, not a collection of opinion polls.
Republicans should ENCOURAGE Trump to get out and start a third party. If true republicans can’t unite behind a common effort against the corruption of the left, we lose anyway.
What I feel is needed for we voters to see in short form is a history of all our elected Washington politicians voting records dealing with our home security. Be it military security, immigration, our borders and our trading with other countries we need to weed out these officials that are not putting the USA first in all matters so they can be voted out. Mr. Trump will be able to accomplish more if he is backed by other America first elected officials in Washington. I, myself am a disabled Vet and unable and not knowledgeable enough in this area to put this information together for the masses to see. I just feel we all need to see who is not putting the USA first and would not back a President like Mr. Trump in getting things done to make America great again so we can vote them out on their can not do’s.
I believe I see the problem with our government. These political parties have become so self centered they have lost touch with reality, You the republicans who think they are conservative, then you have the democrats that think they have to socialists(or communists) they are not thinking about the good of the nation. then comes Trump, a brash and straight speaker who doesn’t care about political correctness, That is the magnetic feature of him, what he sees he says. He knows what is wrong and he is willing to take on these self centered political playboys that can’t figure out what’s wrong. They chose the wrong people to TRY and fix what is wrong and they make it worse.
WHICH EVER PARTY YOU PLAN TO DO YOU HAVE MY VOTE AND ALL THE PEOPLE

I hope Mr. Trump somehow gets to read the majority of these comments so
that he knows there are people out here who appreciate, respect, understand, and
welcome him and the kind of leadership that originally made this country great…
We just can’t allow Hillary to be elected as the next president of this country…
I am scared, that if she is elected that this country will be so bad off, we may never
be able to recover from the damage and lack of respect for our country that will occur…
Mr.Trump, Please continue the the fight and we the people who believe in you will
support you in any way that we can. I want my daughters and grandchildren to be
able to live in the “GREAT COUNTRY” that was originally meant for us and all the
generations to come….
Mr. Trump, as GOP attacks you it’s telling me and the people of this country and the Republican Party that they don’t understand the consequences of the last two presidential elections. You are the one we need to turn this country around. If the GOP wants to win this election, you are the only candidate capable of beating Hilary Clinton. I’m a fighter. I hope you will stand your ground and not give in to the political correctness of the Republican Party which needs you to win,
