Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez DESTROYED by liberal superstar (civil war!?)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and her $90+ trillion dollar “Green New Deal” plan is under fire — but it’s not from Republicans. It’s not even from Democrats.

The Democratic socialist is under attack from the co-founder of Greenpeace, the far-left environmental organization.

And he wasn’t holding back any punches.

Former Greenpeace President and co-founder Patrick Moore slammed Ocasio-Cortez this weekend in a series of harsh tweets, calling on voters to reject her ideas in 2020. Moore called Ocasio-Cortez a “pompous little twit,” and said the Green New Deal is “completely crazy” and unrealistic.

He warned that following Ocasio-Cortez’s leadership would lead to mass starvation and suffering.

@AOC
Pompous little twit. You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get food into the cities. Horses? If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death.

He also took aim at Ocasio-Cortez’s willingness to compare environmental stewardship to the horrors of World War 2.

Moore said the Green New Deal could even be worse than the war —

Isn't @AOC a bit young to talk about WW2? It was Hell & more than 60 million died. It's her @GND that would be worse than WW2. Imagine no fuel for cars, trucks, tractors, combines, harvesters, power-plants, ships, aircraft, etc. Transport of people & goods would grind to a halt. https://t.co/nXhdlK4Tsa

After 15 years at Greenpeace, Moore left the organization in 1986. He’s since become critical of the organization, and has said his colleagues have “abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism”

He went on to write the book, “Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist” after the group took a “sharp turn” to the extreme political left.

Moore wasn’t the only one taking shots at Ocasio-Cortez’s hypocrisy over the weekend.

The New York Post wrote a scathing criticism of the New York socialist’s car habits after she demanded Americans drive their cars less, and rely solely on public transportation.

“Since declaring her candidacy in May 2017, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign heavily relied [car services] — even though a subway station was just 138 feet from her Elmhurst campaign office,” The Post reported Saturday. “She listed 1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, federal filings show. The campaign had 505 Uber expenses alone.”

In total, Ocasio-Cortez spent over $29,000 in campaign donation cash on gas guzzling chauffeur rides around her small district… despite her campaign headquarters being less than a minute away from the New York subway.

During the same timeline, her campaign only spent $8,335 on MetroCards for their workers to take public transportation.

Moore predicted the increasingly common scandals surrounding Ocasio-Cortez will ultimately undo her “flash in the pan” political career.

She’s too “completely crazy” for voters to reelect, he predicted.

I suspect @AOC is a flash in the pan. Her @GND is so completely crazy it is bound to be rejected in the end. But she does have wind in her sales due to the political situation. 2020 will be even more interesting now.

It’s more evidence that there’s a civil war developing behind the scenes in the Democratic Party.

Lawmakers have become so insanely liberal, even Greenpeace activists are throwing up their hands and saying, “Enough!”
