President Donald Trump awoke early on Tuesday morning and dropped a bombshell on search-engine operator Google, claiming the tech giant is hiding “fair media” coverage of his presidency.
He wrote on Twitter, this “very serious situation will be addressed,” and referenced a recent piece by PJ Media that claimed 96 percent of Google search results about Trump were from left-wing sites.
“They have it RIGGED, for me, & others,” Trump said, blaming Google for promoting liberal media over fair sources — and he named CNN as a prominent left-wing outlet benefiting from this suppression.
“Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake New Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out.” He added, ” Illegal?”

“96% of results on “Trump News” are from National Left-Wing Media, very dangerous. Google & others are suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good. They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation-will be addressed!” he added.

“Is Google manipulating its algorithm to prioritize left-leaning news outlets in their coverage of President Trump?” Paula Bolyard of PJ Media asked in her expose.
Earlier this summer, Republican Rep. Devin Nunes threatened that Google, and other social media and tech giants may face hearings over their alleged bias against conservatives.
Many conservatives have raised alarms over a political bias against them on various social media platforms. Top executives from Facebook, Google, and Twitter plan to appear at Capitol Hill next week to discuss how they handle political content on their platforms.
National Economic Council chief Larry Kudlow told C-SPAN on Tuesday that after Trump’s claim of “rigged” searches, “We’re taking a look at it.”
