For those of you that are busy bees, or prefer to watch the Summer Olympics, the end of the first week of the Winter Olympics is today… and it has been quite an event.

Here are the top five moments from the Olympics so far —

 

#1 USA’s Shaun White wins golf in the men’s halfpipe. Whit is the first snowboarder to win gold in three Olympic games.

#2 USA’s Chloe Kim lands back-to-back 1080s on her final run to win gold in the women’s snowboard halfpipe.

#4 During free skate, Germany’s Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot earned gold by beating the highest score ever.

#5  USA’s Mirai Nagasu enticing the crowd with a historic triple axel during the women’s figure skating competition. Only eight women have ever successful landed this difficult move during competiton — Nagasu is the first American woman to do so.

The Olympic standings currently place Germany in the lead with 9 total gold medals. Norway is in second place with 6 gold medals. Netherlands is in third place with 6 gold medals. The United States comes in fourth with 5 gold medals.
